We are so happy to report that Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who collapsed during Monday Night Football’s Bills vs. Bengals football game, is improving.

A new update was just tweeted by the Bills that says he’s improved over the past 24 hours, and even though he is still critically ill, he is “neurologically intact.”

“Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours,” the Bills said in a statement via their Twitter account. “While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.

During Monday’s game, he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest as CPR was performed on him for several minutes. The game was ultimately canceled and there has been no decision by the NFL as to if the game will be resumed at any point.

One of Damar‘s teammates, Kaiir Elam, tweeted, “Our boy is doing better, awake and showing more signs of improvement. Thank you God. Keep the prayers coming please. All love 3!”

If you missed it, both ESPN and the NFL issued conflicting statements about a big controversy that ensued on the field after Damar‘s medical emergency.

Our continued thoughts are with Damar and his loves ones, friends, family, and fans.
