Billy Bush Caught Making Lewd Joke About Kendall Jenner, 'Extra' Team Defends Him

Billy Bush is in hot water over a leaked audio recording in which he is heard making a sexual comment about Kendall Jenner while on the set of Extra, though the show is standing by him.

You probably remember that Billy‘s career took a turn back in 2016 when a recording of him and Donald Trump was leaked. The tape, which was from 2005, featured Trump saying, “When you’re a star, [women] let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy.”

Billy responded, “Whatever you want.” After the tape was leaked, he was fired from Today. Extra hired him in 2019.

The new leaked recording comes from the October 31, 2022 taping of Extra and features Billy commenting on Kendall‘s Halloween costume.

Kendall dressed up as Jessie from Toy Story last year and he made a lewd comment about the costume by referring to the character’s love interest Woody.

“Kendall goes as Jessie and, believe me, there were a lot of woodies,” he says in the audio clip, which was published by The Daily Beast.

The joke didn’t make the air and he ended up saying, “it’s going to be hard to see Toy Story the same way ever again.”

A representative for Extra said in a statement, “As with many forms of production in the entertainment industry, the show’s creative process allows the flexibility to try different jokes and banter. In the end, some material lands on the cutting room floor, including remarks that may be too edgy to air on broadcast television.” 

Back in 2019, Billy explained how the Trump controversy changed how he does his job.
