Cardi B Explains Why She Called Off Her Divorce from Husband Offset

Cardi B is looking back at some struggles in her marriage to husband Offset.

The 30-year-old “WAP” rapper and Offset, 31, married in September 2017 and welcomed their daughter Kulture in July 2018. Later that year in December, they broke up amid rumors that Offset cheated on her before getting back together.

In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences,” but in November 2020, their divorce case was “dismissed without prejudice,” and the pair got back together.

In a new interview, Cardi explained why she called off her divorce from Offset to work on their marriage.

“Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye-to-eye,” Cardi shared on the premiere episode of The Jason Lee Show, according to Entertainment Tonight. “This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything.”

“I’m gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me – Imma let him say it,” Cardi added. “I want him to say it, because I feel like that’s really part of his story.”

“The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me,” Cardi explained.
