Per Deadline, the long-running talk show will conclude with original episodes in the current 2022-2023 television season.

“I have been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in daytime television,” Phil shared in a statement. “With this show, we have helped thousands of guests and millions of viewers through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children.”

He added, “This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I’m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do.”

Deadline says that the “changing” market of talk shows and a decision from Phil were the main reasons for the ending decision.

However, Phil is apparently also planning to go into primetime programming with a new partnership, slated for an early 2024 launch.

“I am compelled to engage with a broader audience because I have grave concerns for the American family, and I am determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values,” he said to the outlet.

CBS’ Bull, which ended last year, was based on Phil‘s career as a jury consultant.
