Kim & Kourtney Kardashian's Dolce & Gabbana Feud Explained on 'The Kardashians'

We’re finally getting all of the details on Kim and Kourtney Kardashian‘s feud.

For months, fans speculated that there had been some sort of drama between the reality star sisters after people noticed on social media that they were barely hanging out with each other.

In the trailer for season three of The Kardashians, fans were provided a sneak peek at the feud – and it all stems from Dolce & Gabbana.

If you didn’t know, Kourtney, 44, wore a D&G mini-dress to her May 2022 wedding to Travis Barker. D&G even hosted the wedding in Italy. Four months later, Kim, 42, collaborated with D&G for collection during Milan Fashion Week.

In episode three of The Kardashians, which was released at midnight on Thursday (June 15), Kourtney accused Kim of “copying” her wedding for the fashion collection.

“I just feel like there is such an abundance of opportunities. It isn’t about business. There is just so much and it takes precedence over hurting your sister. It is legit copying my wedding,” Kourtney said while crying to Kendall Jenner. “Everything that I did [with Dolce & Gabbana] was pulling references from ’90s [archival looks].”

Kourtney also pointed out that Kim‘s slogan for her D&G collab – “Living La Dolce Vita” – was “my wedding and how I’ve lived my life every summer for five years in a row.”

Kourtney went on to say that Kim only called her to tell her about the collaboration after it was finalized, rather than asking her about her feelings about it first.

Kourtney then accused Kim of prioritizing business over her relationships with family and loved ones.

“It is just stupid because it is a deeper thing than that it is about [where people] are grabbing whatever is in the way,” Kourtney added. “It is such an abundance and an excess — it is never enough. It is never OK to just not do something or turn something down.”

Kourtney also said that “it’s never enough” for Kim when it comes to work and complained that Kim never “turns something down” – adding that mom Kris Jenner “never mentioned” the Kim‘s collab to her either.

Kourtney also claimed that Kim “wasn’t happy” at her wedding that the drama has cast a dark cloud on her wedding memories.

“[Kim] wasn’t happy at my wedding. Everyone else was like, ‘Woah, this is amazing. We are having the best time,’” Kourtney recalled. “She never gave acknowledgment of like, ‘This is so amazing. I love this whole vibe. Do you mind or how do you feel about me doing something based off this.’ Because I was never going to tell someone not to do something.”

Kourtney continued, “I think it is also subconscious. I think she sees everything I had there and takes it for her own. And she doesn’t even see it. She sees it as the dollars signs, but I see it as, ‘Oh, you were there. You weren’t happy.’ Everyone said something to me. They were all like, ‘She is spiraling.’”

“If I did it to Kim, she would freak out. To me, it was more personal, I think that’s why it hurts my feelings because it was my actual wedding — the year your sister got married, you then made a deal to do this fashion show,” Kourtney added. “Don’t do it the same year that comes out four months later. It’s not like I did their campaign, and then she did the campaign right after. Like, who cares? It’s business, it’s my actual wedding and that wasn’t a business deal for me. I did it because it felt really personal.”

Kendall, 27, agreed with Kourtney saying that her feelings are “valid,” but did admit that she sees “both sides,” adding that “as sisters” they all need to consider how their jobs will affect one another.

In a private conversation, Khloe Kardashian attempts to remedy the situation by telling Kris, 67, to “acknowledge” Kourtney‘s hurt feelings.

However, Kris felt pulled in two different directions, saying she sees it as her “job” to look at the situation from both Kourtney and Kim‘s perspectives.

“As a mom, when my girls see things differently, I try to stay neutral,” Kris added in a confessional.

Later in the episode, Khloe, 38, tells Kim how upset Kourtney is over the situation – and Kim is taken aback by the news.

“It’s not rational,” Khloe said to Kim.

In a confessional, Kim explains her intentions, saying, “This is the first time I heard Kourtney is upset about us doing the Dolce show — like, I couldn’t have been more mindful, I said don’t do the Madonna Collection, don’t do the Lace Collection, don’t do anything that Kourtney wore to her wedding.”

Kim added, “She doesn’t know that I have the email string begging them to push it a year.”

“What I’ve realized in this lifetime is that everyone has their own truth of how they think something happens, and it’s weird, but…it’s all going to come out on this show,” Kim joked. “It’s our therapy.”

The episode ended with Kim toasting her Dolce & Gabbana collection, before adding, “And cheers to Kourtney … to the diva of all divas!”

In the season three premiere, Kim addressed ex-husband Kanye West‘s “damaging” comments.

New episodes of The Kardashians drop at midnight ET on Thursdays on Hulu.
