Scott Evans Defends Brother Chris Evans' Relationship with Alba Baptista

Scott Evans is sticking up for brother Chris Evans and his girlfriend Alba Baptista.

If you didn’t know, Chris, 42, and Alba, 26, have been dating for well over a year and they shared some rare personal photos on Valentine’s Day a few months ago.

In a new interview, Scott, 39, said that he “approves” of Chris‘ relationship with Alba and also addressed all of the fans that are upset that his brother is no longer single.

“It’s tough with everything…in the world, people can ruin things pretty quickly,” Scott shared on the Viall Files podcast. “It’s not getting better, it’s only getting worse. The way people can be can make it pretty hard to date someone like that.”

“Because you think, ‘I’m just dating a person, he’s a guy’ and all of a sudden it’s article after article, after article,” Scott continued. “[And] everybody [is] just being like you are a piece of crap to anybody he’s tried to date and just destroying them. You can only take that for so long and it makes relationships kind of hard for him.”

Scott went on to reveal that he continuously gets messages on social media from people confessing their love for Chris. He also said that people call him their “brother-in-law” all the time.

“It’s been a slow burn over the years, it’s not like he catapulted into fame,” Chris explained. “We watched the internet happen. Twitter wasn’t around when he first started making movies so being able to just see it all … and what can happen … it can be a dark place and people can get very bold.”
