Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk are married!

The 31-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain and the 30-year-old son of Tony Hawk obtained a marriage license the month before their wedding in San Diego County, TMZ reported.

The marriage certificate lists the couple’s wedding date as October 7, with the ceremony officiated by R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, who is also Frances’ godfather.

Frances returned to Instagram in January of last year and shared a series of images, including glimpses of her relationship with Riley, confirming their relationship.

“I took a year long break from posting on Instagram which was exceptionally good for my mental, emotional & spiritual health. 2021 brought me more into the present moment than I’ve ever been, which I’m deeply grateful for,” she wrote at the time.

“I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy. Here’s to hoping everyone’s 2022 is filled with the authentic connections, a lot of warmth & profound discovery of self 🥂 happy new year 🎆.”

Frances was previously married to Isaiah Silva for nearly two years after they tied the knot in June 2014. She filed for divorce in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
