CNN saw a copy of the preliminary autopsy that was performed on Liam, which shared that he suffered both “internal and external hemorrhage” from multiple injuries sustained in the fall.

A toxicology report is not available at this time, and the site reports that the prosecutor’s office will make an official statement.

The report states (via an English translation), “The circumstances of the case are being investigated as a ‘questionable death,’ although everything indicates that the musician was alone when the fall occurred, and was going through some type of outbreak from substance abuse.”

The report also alleges he was “under the influence of drugs and alcohol.”

“The forensic experts reported that the 25 injuries described in the autopsy are aligned with those caused by a fall from a height. They also pointed out that the craniocerebral injuries were sufficient to cause death, while internal and external hemorrhages in the skull, thorax, abdomen and limbs contributed to the mechanism of death,” it continued.

The report also shares that “due to the position in which the body and the injuries of the fall were left, it is presumed that Payne did not take a reflected position to protect himself and that he may have rushed into a state of semi or total unconsciousness.”

If you didn’t see, Liam‘s family just released a statement on his tragic passing.
