Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Provides More Info About Apparent Taylor Swift Source & What Blake Lively’s Lawyer Allegedly Requested After Super Bowl

Justin Baldoni‘s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has filed a signed affidavit – under the penalty of perjury – and providing even more alleged details about the claims he made regarding Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, and the It Ends with Us trial.

First, some backstory, if you need it: last week, it was revealed that Taylor was subpoenaed in the case by Justin Baldoni‘s legal team. In alleged text messages that were included in the lawsuits, Justin implied that Blake had her husband Ryan Reynolds and BFF Taylor present at a meeting to voice support for her changes to the script.

This week, Justin‘s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, submitted a letter to the court claiming that Blake‘s lawyer “contacted a Venable attorney who represents Ms. Swift and demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively’s possession would be released.”

Blake‘s team has denied these allegations. However, under penalty of perjury, Freedman is doubling down on these claims.

By the way, if you aren’t aware, here’s the punishment for committing perjury: “The person presenting the statement submits themselves to be being charged with perjury and subject to the penalties assessed against a person found guilty of perjury if the statement is false. A declaration made under the penalties of perjury carries the same force and consequences as a sworn statement submitted under oath.”

We have the full update from Justin‘s lawyer from today (May 15).

In the new affadavit signed by Freedman, via People, he claims to have had a phone call on February 14 with a “person very closely linked to Taylor Swift.”

Freedman continued making claims, saying the source shared that Blake‘s lawyer “requested, on Ms. Lively’ s behalf, that Taylor Swift make a social media statement in support of Ms. Lively given her absence from the Super Bowl that year, and stated that if Ms. Swift failed to do so, Ms. Lively would release ’10 years’ of private texts with Ms. Swift.”

So, how did Freedman get linked with this anonymous source? He claims there’s a “mutual friend who informed me that the individual wanted to talk.” They’ve apparently chatted several times since.

Blake‘s lawyer, Mike Gottlieb, has now responded to these brand new allegations, sharing, “Another day, another bogus filing designed for clickbait. We reiterate our unequivocal denial.”

Blake‘s lawyer continued that these allegations “rely completely upon a source, no matter who it is, that doesn’t even claim to have witnessed the conversations that Freedman describes, making this triple-hearsay statement as unreliable as information reported from children in a game of telephone.”

“These claims remain completely untethered from reality — to be clear: The conversations as described did not happen, and we will hold Mr. Freedman accountable for his misconduct,” he concluded.
