Diddy Trial Day 12: Stylist & Woman Using Pseudonym ‘Mia,’ Also Known as ‘Victim 4,’ Are Testifying (Live Updates)
Prosecution attempted to cut video of the next witness “Mia,” otherwise known as “Victim-4.” The judge ordered no sketches.
Judge Subramanian denied the government’s effort to cut all video of key prosecution witness Mia, but he did order a ban against courtroom sketches of “Victim-4.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney Madison Smyser had asked for Mia’s testimony to not be shown in a courthouse overflow room.
The judge said it would be improper to totally keep footage of Mia‘s testimony from getting out of his courtroom, though he did agree to ban sketches of her.
The government previously referred to the woman as “Victim-4” and said she used to work for Diddy as a personal assistant.
Deonte Nash returned to the witness stand.
The stylist admitted he didn’t initially tell prosecutors that Cassie had been allegedly kicked by Diddy in one particular attack he witnessed.
“They didn’t ask,” he told defense. “I gave as little as possible. I only answered what I was asked.”
He said Cassie started talking to Michael B. Jordan after she split with Diddy.
“Dating, talking, getting to know each other,” the witness said.
He admitted from 2008 to 2013 that Cassie never mentioned to him about the “freak offs.”
The defense is seemingly trying to build a case that the “freak offs” weren’t as bad as described if she never mentioned them to her friend.
The witness said he saw Cassie with a black eye once.
Deonte Nash testified that he saw Mia on a video call with Cassie and she had a black eye visible.
“I saw it in person, when her make-up wears off you can see it,” he explained.
He recalled an a time when he spotted a random man joining Cassie in her Las Vegas hotel room without Diddy.
The defense is seemingly trying to build the case that Cassie had sex with strangers, not forced by Diddy.
