Ava Max Cancels Tour Dates, Explains Why in Statement to Fans

Ava Max has canceled her tour, for now.

The 31-year-old “Sweet But Psycho” singer put out a statement confirming she’ll be “pushing back” the dates, and explained the reason why.

If you don’t know, she was supposed to kick off her tour on September 3 in Los Angeles and continue through to October, wrapping up about a month later in Chicago.

On her Instagram Story, she wrote, “Pushing back my tour is most difficult decision I’ve had to make, but when I perform for you, it has to be of a standard that I’m happy with, and it’s just not there yet. Being on stage is my favorite thing in the world. In order to put on a show that you all deserve, I need more time. I promise you all it will be worth the wait. I love you all and can’t wait to see you. SOON, I PROMISE.”

Her album, Don’t Click Play, is out on August 22, and she just released her latest single “Wet, Hot American Dream.”
