Instead, the network has declared Wednesday (August 13) as South Park Day, kicking off a marathon of fan-favorite episodes starting at 9 a.m. ET.

The programming will lead into a re-airing of the show’s very first episode, “Cartman Gets an Anal Probe,” in its regular 10 p.m. ET slot.

Fans can also expect interviews with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, behind-the-scenes footage, and rare clips to mark the show’s 1997 debut anniversary.

The brief break comes as the series is enjoying massive buzz, especially after heavily targeting the Trump Administration in recent episodes. The show’s social media has also made headlines this week for releasing a bonus “end credits scene” mocking Kristi Noem. (Find out how the White House is responding.)

Ratings for the new season have been record-breaking, with the Season 27 premiere drawing 6 million cross-platform viewers and the biggest audience share in 25 years. Episode two saw a 25% jump in live viewing.

Season 27 is expected to return with a new episode next week and will run for a total of 10 episodes.
