Honorary Co-Chair Lauren Sánchez Bezos Arrives in Schiaparelli at Met Gala 2026

Lauren Sánchez Bezos is making her arrival to the Met Gala in Schiaparelli.

The 56-year-old wife of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, former journalist, licensed pilot and founder of Black Ops Aviation is in attendance at the 2026 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 4) in New York City.

She hit the red carpet alongside co-chairs, including Anna Wintour and Nicole Kidman.

If you didn’t know, Lauren is one of the honorary chairs of the evening.

What this year’s Met Gala theme is about

The Met Gala is the biggest night in fashion every year and you can expect hundreds of A-List celebrities to be in attendance. The gala is celebrating the Met’s Costume Art exhibition, which “explores the ‘centrality of the dressed body’ through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met’s extensive collection.” The dress code this year is “Fashion is Art” and the co-chairs for the gala are Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Anna Wintour has an incredibly long day every Met Gala Monday as she always attends the press preview event before the big party starts.
