Kathryn Newton & Cooper Hoffman’s ‘Durango’ Ordered to Series at Hulu, More Cast Revealed
Kathryn Newton and Cooper Hoffman‘s new show is moving forward!
Hulu has ordered their crime thriller Durango to series, with Merritt Wever, Mason Gooding and Abbey Lee joining the cast, according to TheWrap.
The project comes from writer and executive producer Eliza Clark, whose credits include Y: The Last Man and Animal Kingdom. The outlet reports that it marks Cooper‘s first television role.
What is Durango about?
Cooper plays Mikey, a local ski bum, while Kathryn plays Bunny, a homeschooled runaway who works as a waitress.
The pair fall in love and go on the run, pursued by police, criminals and Mikey’s wife as their decisions lead them into more trouble.
Who else is in the Durango cast?
Merritt plays Joni, a local detective who has spent 20 years working in a relatively quiet resort town. That changes when she takes on the biggest case of her career.
Mason plays Miles, a younger detective whose quick wit makes him a foil for Joni.
Abbey plays Irina, Mikey’s Russian wife, who loves American pop culture and is seeking U.S. citizenship.
Who is making Durango?
Jesse Peretz directed and executive produced the pilot, which Hulu ordered in March.
The Bear creator Christopher Storer is also among the executive producers, alongside Eliza, Michael Ellenberg, Christina Malach, Josh Senior and Tyson Bidner.
The announcement does not include a premiere date or episode count.
Cooper and Mason also appeared in I Want Your Sex. Check out what critics said about their movie.
