The 27-year-old actress was joined by her Newsroom co-stars Thomas Sadoski and Hamish Linklater.

The 34-year-old actor was joined at the party by Andrew Rannells, Padma Lakshmi, Sam Trammell, and Natalie Zea.

The Scandal actress was joined by her co-star Tony Goldwyn, who brought his daughter Anna.

The two actresses sandwiched first-time Emmy winner Jeff Daniels, who won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work on The Newsroom.

“We’re going to come back, we just don’t know when yet,” Jeff shared to E! News about the upcoming season of The Newsroom after winning. “They’re trying to work it out with Aaron [Sorkin] and HBO and is deciding when they want to air it.”

Earlier in the day, the 31-year-old English actress sported a classy red gown while walking the red carpet at the award ceremony, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Downton Abbey.

“The thing is, we all had that choice, and any one of us could have left. There was a point where I thought, Yeah, I’m done after three, because that’s what I was expecting to happen: I would do three series and that would be it. And then of course the success of the show was huge and I had my doubts. I discovered there isn’t any rush. I wasn’t ready to finish whereas Dan was very ready to leave. But Dan has done some great work in the space of time since he’s left. He’s already got three films he’s doing, so for him it was the right decision,” Michelle recently told Vulture about her co-star Dan Stevens, who exited Downton Abbey.
