The 31-year-old Jane The Virgin actress joined Serayah, Monique Coleman, Keke Palmer, Amber Riley, and Bryshere Gray at the annual show.

Also spotted on the carpet were nominee Skai Jackson and big winners, black-ish stars Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown and Marsai Martin.

Anthony Anderson hits the stage for his hosting gig at the 2016 NAACP Image Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday night (February 5) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 45-year-old actor hosted the show and he was joined by his Black-ish co-star Tracee Ellis Ross. They both picked up awards for their work on the ABC comedy series!

“Look at these beautiful shades of people in the audience,” Anthony said. “Hollywood needs to know that this is what diversity is supposed to look like… I love seeing all these faces [of] black people working. Everybody keeps saying it’s a comeback. But hell, don’t call it a comeback. We’ve been here for years.”

“Even though we have our own awards show, I just want the other ones to be fair. I just hope they don’t go overboard next year and nominate too much black stuff out of guilt,” Anthony later said. “But tonight is not the night to focus on other awards shows. This is about us. This is our show. and it’s not a comeback. We have been here and we aren’t going anywhere.”

Other attendees included Concussion‘s Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman, The Birth of a Nation‘s Nate Parker, Chi-Raq‘s Teyonah Parris, and Power‘s Naturi Naughton.

Sanaa Lathan won the award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in The Perfect Guy.

The 28-year-old actor was joined at the event by Chadwick Boseman, Ice Cube, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Keegan-Michael Key and Omari Hardwick.

During the event, Michael took home the award for Entertainer of the Year as well as Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in Creed.

Terrence Howard looks triumphant while accepting an award at the 2016 NAACP Image Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday night (February 5) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 46-year-old actor was joined at the award ceremony by his Empire co-stars Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Gabourey Sidibe, Trai Byers and Grace Gealey.

The entire cast won big during the show, taking home the award for Outstanding Drama Series. Terrence also took home the award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series while Taraji took home Outstanding Actress.
