Lady Gaga just provided “The Cure”!

The 31-year-old pop superstar performed the track during a live telecast from her Joanne World Tour concert in Washington D.C. at the 2017 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

The powerhouse performer started off the song as a ballad at a neon piano before bursting out into an explosive performance across the stage, complete with dancers and pyrotechnics.

Gaga also won Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock during the night’s ceremony.

Taylor Swift wasn’t in attendance at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 19), but her presence was there thanks to a recorded video.

The 27-year-old singer paid tribute to Diana Ross, who is receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

“I don’t personally know anyone in music who hasn’t been inspired by you and influenced by you,” Taylor said in the recorded message. “You are elegant and fierce and strong and brave, and you have paved the way for everyone who does what we do now including me so thank you.”

Taylor wasn’t nominated for any awards this year, but you can bet she will next year following her massive reputation debut week!

Viola Davis is a vision in white as she arrives at the 2017 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

The 52-year-old Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress was joined on the red carpet by Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman.

During the show, Chadwick hit the show to present the award for Pop Rock Duo or Group to Imagine Dragons while Viola introduced Christina Aguilera‘s tribute to The Bodyguard.

Christina Aguilera belts out a song during her tribute to Whitney Houston and The Bodyguard at the 2017 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old singer performed the songs “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Run to You, and “I’m Every Woman” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the beloved movie.

Christina called Whitney the “greatest vocalist” following her performance.

“I am honored and humbled to be asked to participate in such a special tribute of a timeless soundtrack that has been a huge inspiration not only in my own personal life and career, but to countless aspiring singers — touching music lovers worldwide and influencing the history of music itself,” Christina previously said in a statement.
