John Mayer decided he needed a haircut in between his appearance on stage at the 2019 Grammys and the start of the 2019 Grammys after parties directly after the show.

The 41-year-old entertainer took to his Instagram Live to tell fans why he decided to get a trim at that hour.

“You might be aware that I’ve got my hair cut in between, since I last saw you in between the Grammys and now,” John said. “I got my hair cut because I look back at a picture from the Grammys and I said, ‘That won’t do. I need another haircut.’”

“I used the Grammy Awards telecast as a mirror,” he added.

John also explained that “there’s something in between the show and the afterparty, and it’s called waiting around doing nothing,” giving him plenty of time to get his haircut!

Jennifer Lopez faced some backlash with some fans who were not happy that she was chosen to perform the Motown tribute at the 2019 Grammys.

“The thing about music is that it inspires all. Any type of music can inspire any type of artist. You can’t tell people what to love. You can’t tell people what they can and can’t do, what they should sing or not sing. You gotta do what’s in your heart,” JLo told ET. A select few fans were not happy that Jennifer performed the tribute without having a clear connection to the genre.

Jennifer added that Grammys producers and Motown legend Berry Gordy were “thrilled” that she did the tribute.

“They know how much I have been influenced by that music and so it was a natural fit for them. But for some people, [it wasn't], and that’s okay. I’m just very humbled and honored to be able to have sung those songs,” she added.

About the performance, Jennifer said,”It was for my mom. I could cry. It’s such a good moment. It’s just a dream come true.”

Chrissy Teigen jokingly explained the reason why John Legend decided to skip the 2019 Grammys, which took place on Sunday (February 10).

The 33-year-old “Cravings: Hungry for More” author posted a photo of John sleeping with the caption, “no Grammys for us today. john got [an] EGOT and egot lazy.”

Rapper XXXTentacion, who was tragically killed at the young age of 20 last year, was left out of the 2019 Grammys In Memoriam tribute on Sunday night (February 10).

Fans noticed that the Grammys paid tribute to Mac Miller, Avicii, singer Nancy Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King and Carol Channing, among others, but did not show a photo of the late rapper.

Many took to Twitter after the segment aired to call out the Grammys producers for their huge mistake.

Lady Gaga is all smiles while holding her three new Grammys in the press room at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old entertainer took home three awards during the event – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born and Best Pop Solo Performance for the live version of “Joanne.”

“😭❤️a Grammy for Joanne is more than me & my family could ever dream of. I sang that version in one take, & poured my entire life & soul into it. Thank you so much for this gift I am completely shocked,” Gaga tweeted after that win.

Gaga now is the recipient of nine Grammy Awards across the past ten years of her career.

On the same day as the Grammys, Gaga won a BAFTA Award for Best Music for her work on A Star Is Born.
