Jim Gaffigan is going viral for his searing criticism of Donald Trump and the “wake up” message he sent to the president’s supporters after the final night of the 2020 Republican National Convention.

The 54-year-old comedian blasted the president and said “he’s a traitor and a con man who doesn’t care” about his supporters.

“I dont give a f–k if anyone thinks this is virtue signaling or whatever. We need to wake up. We need to call trump the con man and thief that he is,” he said near the end of his Twitter spree. “Trump derangement syndrome is part of the con. Wake up. you know Fox News is biased and full of loons. it’s how they gaslight and silence criticism. Do you think any of those congressional republicans really believe in Trump or do they fear him dont want to end up like Flake.”

President Donald Trump is officially the Republican Candidate in the 2020 Presidential Election.

The 74-year-old president accepted the nomination while giving a speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention on Thursday night (August 27) on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.

During his speech, Trump boasted about what he has accomplished over the first three years, while trying to install fear in Americans if Joe Biden is elected into office.

“This election will decide whether we save the American dream, or whether we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our cherished destiny,” Trump said. “Your vote will decide whether we protect law-abiding Americans, or whether we give free rein to violent anarchists, agitators, and criminals who threaten our citizens.”

As he gave his speech, celebs took to Twitter to react to some of the “lies” that Trump spoke about.

Ivanka Trump introduced her father at the 2020 Republican National Convention and celebs have a lot to say about the speech she gave at the event.

The 38-year-old daughter of the President of the United States gave one of the final speeches of the night on Thursday (August 27) on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.

“I recognize that my dad’s communication style is not to everyone’s taste. And I know his tweets can feel a bit unfiltered,” Ivanka said during her speech. “But the results speak for themselves.”

Some celebs are commenting on how Ivanka and her father Donald Trump‘s speech at the RNC could be violating the Hatch Act. Others pointed out how the results really have spoken for themselves.

Donald Trump will be accepting the Republican presidential nomination with a speech at the RNC tonight and the scene from the convention is pretty shocking.

The President of the United States will be speaking from the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday night (August 27) in Washington, D.C.

It’s already shocking that a political convention is being held at the White House as this has never been done before. What make this evening even more surprising is that the event is making it look like there is no pandemic happening right now.

CNN reports that 1,500 to 2,000 guests are expected to watch Trump‘s speech live on the South Lawn and chairs are “positioned within less than a foot of one another.” There are 1,500 seats and the rest of the crowd will have to stand.

It has been reported that it was not required for guests to be tested for coronavirus and it appears that very few people in the audience are wearing masks.

This week, the CDC even changed guidance to say that people who have been in proximity to someone who has tested positive for coronavirus no longer need to be tested. Many health experts have slammed this new guidance.

Melania Trump did things differently while preparing for her speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention on Tuesday night (August 25).

Speaking from her newly redone Rose Garden, the 50-year-old First Lady’s speech was not vetted by anyone in the West Wing, CNN reports.

It is also being reported that no one on President Donald Trump‘s staff approved the content that she would be speaking about. Typically, a first lady has a speech of this magnitude vetted by someone in the West Wing to make sure their messages align.

As she did during her 2016 RNC speech, Melania did not receive any help from professional speech writers, but instead had the majority of her remarks written by a senior aide.

Melania‘s speech was quite different from others speaking at the RNC, who used their time to slam Joe Biden and the “radical Democrats.” Instead, Melania spoke about the “beautiful side of humanity” she has seen during the pandemic, while also calling for unity.

“We must remember that today we are all one community comprised of many races, religions and ethnicities,” Melania said. “Our diverse and storied history is what makes our country strong, and yet we still have so much to learn from one another.”

In regards to her husband, Melania said, “In my husband, you have a president who will not stop fighting for you and your family. I see how hard he works each day and night and despite the unprecedented attacks from the media, he will not give up.”
