Jessie Buckley is taking on a frightful new role.
The 32-year-old actress stars in director Alex Garland’s upcoming A24 thriller Men, and the trailer arrived Wednesday (March 23).
The film focuses on a woman (Buckley) who plans a countryside holiday while mourning her husband (Paapa Essiedu) who seemingly jumped off of their roof, plunging to his death. Sh is still haunted by the loss, especially after biting into the “forbidden fruit” on the property of her bed and breakfast.
Men also features cinematography from Rob Hardy, who shot Alex Garland’s directorial debut Ex Machina, as well as his follow-up science-fiction horror film Annihilation.
Jessie Buckley was just nominated for a big award, and celebrated alongside a big star on the red carpet.
Men will be released in theaters on May 20.
