Henry Golding, Saweetie & More Step Out For See Us Unite For Change Event

Henry Golding shows off his charming smile while arriving at the See Us Unite for Change – The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) in service of the AAPI Community Broadcast in Los Angeles on Friday (May 21).

The 34-year-old Snake Eyes actor was joined by Ken Jeong, James Hong and Minari star Alan S. Kim.

The event also featured performances from Saweetie and Black Eyed Peas.

The See Us Unite for Change global special is part of the See Us Unite cultural campaign, a multi-platform effort led by The Asian American Foundation (TAAF). It aims to accelerate impact and expand support for the AAPI community as hate and violence against its members continue to persist in the United States.

“Despite these difficult times for our community, the formation of TAAF and their bold work on the See Us Unite campaign represent the best of what can emerge when we share a collective resolve for change,” Daniel Dae Kim, co-chair of the TAAF Advisory Council, shared in a statement. “They’re both great signs for our future.”

The special will air on MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, as well as BET and Nickelodeon. It will also stream exclusively on Facebook Watch.

Nine-Year-Old 'Minari' Star Alan S. Kim Was Caught Dancing on Oscars 2021 Red Carpet & It's So Sweet

Awards season favorite – Alan S. Kim – strikes a pose on the red carpet alongside Minari producer Christina Oh at the 2021 Academy Awards on Sunday (April 25) at Union Station in Los Angeles.

The actor – who recently turned nine years old – is in attendance to celebrate his film Minari which is nominated for Best Picture, among other categories. See the full list of nominations right here!

Alan is currently going viral for a video of what he did on the red carpet tonight. He was caught dancing! Watch below.

Alan won the Critics Choice Award for his work in the movie and went viral for his absolutely adorable acceptance speech!

Minari's Youn Yuh-jung Gave the Sweetest Speech of the Night at SAG Awards 2021 (Video)

Youn Yuh-jung won over everyone’s hearts with her sweet speech at the 2021 SAG Awards!

The 73-year-old South Korean actress won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in the movie Minari.

To win the award, Yuh-jung beat out Borat 2‘s Maria Bakalova, Hillbilly Elegy‘s Glenn Close, The Father‘s Olivia Colman, and News of the World‘s Helena Zengel.

Yuh-jung appeared to be shocked by her win and said, “I don’t know how to describe my feelings. I’m being recognized by Westerners!” She then continued by saying, “I don’t know, am I saying right?”

The other nominees all cheered her on and told her that she was doing a great job with her speech.

“My English is not perfect,” she continued. “I’m really pleased and happy and thank you for the SAG-AFTRA. Thank you, so much thank you, Olivia, Glenn, Maria and everybody. Thank you.”

Minari was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Steven Yeun was up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. You can see Steven, Alan S. Kim, and Yeri Han‘s red carpet looks in the gallery!

Alan S. Kim Celebrated His Recent Critics Choice Awards Win By Doing This!

Alan S. Kim is opening up about his recent Critics Choice Award win during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The young star of Minari stole the show after he won the Best Young Actor category. Alan was so moved by the win that he started to cry over it.

Alan revealed on the show that he had to pinch his own cheeks because he “actually had no idea if I was dreaming or not. I still feel like it’s a dream.”

He also shared how he celebrated his big win. Check it out below:

Minari scored big in the 2021 Oscar nominations, picking up nominations for Best Picture, Best Director and in the first ever, Best Actor for Steven Yeun.

Minari's Alan S. Kim Cries During Acceptance Speech at Critics Choice Awards 2021

Alan S. Kim was overwhelmed with his emotions after winning at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (March 7).

The young star of Minari picked up the Best Young Actor honor for his role in the film as David Yi.

After his name was announced, Alan started to give his acceptance speech and thanking everyone involved before his emotions got the better of him and he started to cry.

“Thank you. Thank you,” he began his speech. “First of all, I’d like to thank the critics who voted and my family.”

Many fans on Twitter commented on Alan‘s reaction to the honor.

“OMG WHY IS ALAN KIM THE CUTEST KID EVER???? CRYING DURING HIS SPEECH!!! I WANT TO GIVE HIM A HUG!!! #Minari #CriticsChoice,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “This moment was too much!! Red heart #minari #alankim.”

Minari's Alan S. Kim to Star in 'Latchkey Kids' Movie with Elsie Fisher!

Alan S. Kim, the young breakout star of the upcoming movie Minari, has landed his next big role!

The seven-year-old actor will be starring in the upcoming movie Latchkey Kids alongside Eighth Grade actress Elsie Fisher.

Deadline reports that the “ark comedy follows Shae (Kim), a bright nine year old boy, who befriends an eccentric teenage girl (Fisher), looking to escape her troubling life that her mother has created for her, all the while the local enforcement believe the boy might be offing his babysitters.”

The movie will be directed by John J. Budion with a screenplay by Meaghan Cleary.

Alan and Elsie have something in common as their breakout movies both premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Make sure to look out for Minari in the awards seasons mix this year!
