Andrew Garfield rocks a cool jacket while attending a panel for his new film The Amazing Spider-Man 2 during 2013 Comic-Con International at San Diego Convention Center on Friday (July 19) in San Diego, Calif.

The 29-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan.

Andrew was also spotted rocking his Spider-Man costume while speaking at the panel.

“Spider-Man stands for everyone. But it would be illogical if in the third movie I was with a black guy,” Andrew joked. “To me it’s not a social issue. Love between two consenting adults is love. [Spider-Man is] a hero. He’s covered head to toe. You don’t know his race, his sexuality. He stands for the underdog. He stands for those who need protecting.”

Jamie Foxx looks menacing in the first footage of him as Electro in the highly anticipated film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which will be shown at the film’s Comic-Con panel later today (July 18)!

The 45-year-old Oscar-winning actor plays Max Dillon/Electro in the superhero sequel that stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

No official synopsis has been released for the film, which will hit theaters on May 2, 2014.

It was recently announced that Andrew‘s co-star Shailene Woodley, who had shot scenes as Mary Jane Watson, will not be appearing in the film.

Shailene Woodley‘s role as Mary Jane Watson in the highly anticipated sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been dropped to the cutting room floor, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The 21-year-old actress spent a week filming scenes in New York City for the upcoming superhero flick, but now her role won’t be introduced until the series’ third film.

“Of course I’m bummed. But I am a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason… Based on the proposed plot, I completely understand the need for holding off on introducing [Mary Jane] until the next film,” Shailene told the mag.

“I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship,” director Marc Webb added (via THR). “Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her.”

It is being speculated that the role of Mary Jane will be recast for the third film.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are hard at work while filming a scene for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Wednesday (June 12) in New York City.

The 24-year-old actress and 29-year-old actor were joined on the set by their co-star Sally Field, who plays the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man’s Aunt May.

Jamie Foxx, who plays the villain Electro, recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where he debuted the character’s evil voice!

Emma Stone wears all black while going for a walk around town with her boyfriend Andrew Garfield‘s family on Wednesday (June 5) in New York City.

The 29-year-old actor was seen heading to the set of their new movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that same afternoon.

Earlier in the week, Emma and Andrew filmed some stunt scenes together.

It is being reported that Mia Wasikowska will be replacing Emma in the upcoming film Crimson Peak after she had to drop out due to a busy schedule, according to The Wrap.

Mia would play “a young author named Edith Cushing who discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be.”
