Christina Ricci has been in the film industry for nearly three decades, but she admits that she always knew the better roles would come once she got older.

“I thought I would do better as I got older. In my 20s, I wasn’t really considered a romantic lead, but I was also not character-actressy enough. It was a weird position. I was so young-looking,” the 36-year-old actress recently told The Guardian.

“They still don’t like to cast me in anything where I have to be a professional,” Christina added. “They’re like, ‘It’s not believable.’ I’ve been waiting to get older so I could get parts. I’ve never just been offered good or interesting things. I’ve always had to go after things and, in this case (referring to her szhow Z: The Beginning of Everything), create my own work.”

Grease: Live was a huge success last night on Fox and now nearly all the performances from the broadcast have been uploaded online!

Some of the highlights were Vanessa Hudgens‘ “There Are Worst Things I Could Do,” Keke Palmer‘s “Freddy My Love,” Julianne Hough‘s “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” and Aaron Tveit‘s “Greased Lightning.”

Make sure to listen to the soundtrack to hear all the great songs again. The album is climbing the charts on iTunes and it currently sits in the top five.

Grease: Live has just started to air live on Fox and the soundtrack for the production has officially been released.

The soundtrack is a studio recording of the classic songs from the musical starring the 2016 cast: Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, and more!

Jessie J kicks off the soundtrack with her version of the classic “Grease is the Word” and Joe Jonas makes an appearance with his band DNCE for a new version of their hit song “Cake By the Ocean,” among other tracks.

There are only a matter of hours left until the Grease: Live kicks off and we are so excited to see this star-studded cast perform the beloved musical!

Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, and Vanessa Hudgens lead the cast as Sandy, Danny, and Rizzo, respectively.

The one-night-only special will be airing live from the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Los Angeles and this is the first time that a live musical production of this kind is having a studio audience.

Thomas Kail, who directed the smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton, has helmed this impressive version of Grease. Tune in at 7/6c tonight (January 31) on Fox.

The entire cast — including Vanessa Hudgens, Kether Donohue, Keke Palmer, Carly Rae Jepsen, Julianne Hough, Carlos PenaVega, David Del Rio, Andrew Call, and Jordan Fisher — showed off their moves during a dress rehearsal.

Jessie J gets behind the mic to record “Grease Is The Word” in this new video for Grease: Live.

The entire cast — Aaron Tveit, Julianne Hough, Carlos PenaVega, Vanessa Hudgens, David Del Rio, Andrew Call, Jordan Fisher, Kether Donohue, Keke Palmer and Carly Rae Jepsen — joined her in the studio for the track, which is the first song of the musical.

“There’s no pressure like being the first one on stage,” Jessie shared. “I love that rush of the nerves that I’m going to get. I just feel really honored and really lucky that I’ve been asked to experience something like this.”

She added, “It’s a massive moment for me and I’m very lucky that I’m getting to share it with such amazing people.”

Grease: Live premieres Sunday, January 31st @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough get their party on inside the Fox Winter TCA 2016 All-Star Party held at the Langham Huntington Hotel on Friday night (January 15) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 27-year-old actresses were joined by their Grease Live co-stars Carlos PenaVega, Aaron Tveit, David Del Rio, Andrew Call, Jordan Fisher, Kether Donahue, Keke Palmer and Carly Rae Jepsen for the star-studded bash.

During the panel earlier in the day, it was revealed that original Grease stars Buddy Pearl and Didi Conn, who starred as Doody and Frenchy, would be joining the live special.

While it’s unknown what role Buddy will play, Didi will play Vi, the waitress at the local malt shop who interacts with Frenchy (Jepsen).

“We do have a moment where we have the generations staring at each other and having this really wonderful scene and that was pretty thrilling to watch to say the last and incredibly moving for all of us,” director Thomas Kail shared.
