Elon Musk is no longer the richest person in the world.
The 51-year-old Twitter CEO previously held the position, but someone else has just taken his place.
Elon Musk‘s net worth is currently at $178.6 billion, according to Forbes. Before moving down to No. 2, he was worth around $184 billion.
His drop in net worth is due to Tesla stock dropping by 6% on Monday (December 12), according to Nasdaq.
Tesla stock has gone down 58% since the beginning of the year. He sold nearly $7 billion worth of Tesla shares in August to get his finances together to buy Twitter, which has reportedly frustrated some shareholders.
