Big Ang, one of the stars of Mob Wives, has sadly passed away after battling stage four cancer.

“It is with sad regret that we inform you that at 3:01 a.m. Angelia Raiola peacefully ended her battle with cancer, and was called home,” a statement on her Twitter account read. “She was surrounded by nothing but love from her immediate family, and the closest friends. YOU, (her fans) were some of the most special people in the world, and she loved you immensely. Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end.”

It was reported earlier this month that Big Ang was in and out of the hospital fighting stage four lung and brain cancer.

Our thoughts are with Big Ang‘s loved ones during this time.

Angela “Big Ang” Raiola, who starred in the VH1 series Mob Wives, is still in the hospital despite reports that she has died.

A rep took to Twitter to clarify the situation.

“This is a representative of Angela‘s personal social media,” the person wrote. “The news that has been reported is TOTALLY INACCURATE. Please respect her family, and their privacy at this time.”

It continued, “All of the media outlets currently reporting this are reporting FALSE INFORMATION. No direct information has been given, and will not be given any time soon. Angela is still in the hospital surrounded by her loved ones, and is fighting. Thank you.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Ang had stage four lung and brain cancer after being diagnosed with a throat tumor back in April of 2015.

Mob Wives‘ Big Ang (aka Angela Raiola) has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung and brain cancer and is currently in and out of the hospital fighting the disease.

Her sister, Janine Detore, set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical bills, as chemotherapy is not working and they would like to try different methods.

“My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer,” Janine wrote. “Chemotherapy was started January 5th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change. We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week. Well here we are at the emergency room waiting to see why her breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she could handle.”

“So I suggested cannabis oil as an alternative. This is why I am putting up this go fund me to try to help my sister to get this oil to help her at least be pain free. Angela cannot function to work anymore,” Janine continued.

Back in April of 2015, Big Ang was diagnosed with a lemon sized tumor in her throat. Our thoughts are with Big Ang.

Big Ang (aka Angela Raiola) has been hospitalized and doctors have found a massive tumor in her throat.

The 53-year-old Mob Wives star was taken to a Staten Island hospital earlier this week after complaining about pain in her neck and doctors discovered the tumor the size of a lemon, according to TMZ.

While it is not known yet if the tumor is cancerous, doctors will soon remove the tumor via surgery.

Ang was in attendance at an event for a new reality show over the weekend and kept her neck covered. See the photos in the gallery below.
