The 46-year-old actress recently announced her plans to launch a Bones re-watch podcast, which she will host with her former co-star Carla Gallo.

The team behind the new CBS crime series Instinct is facing backlash for an episode that featured some striking similarities to a former episode of the Fox series Bones.
Both episodes were about young Amish people who moved to a big city and in both shows, the teens secretly enjoyed playing piano which is discovered through objects found in their childhood bedrooms.
Michael Rauch, the creator of Instinct, took to Twitter on Monday (April 2) to apologizes to Bones creator Hart Hanson and the fans of the beloved show.
“Yeah, heard about this. Very distressing and 100% unintentional. Looking into it and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again. And of course apologies to Bones (and their fans). Thanks for the heads up. @HartHanson,” he wrote.

The series finale of the beloved Fox series Bones, starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, aired tonight (March 28) and showrunner Michael Peterson is opening up about the final scene.
In many of the finales on the show, the season has ended with a line of dialogue, but this finale ended the way most episodes on the show do with the camera fading out while Booth and Brennan talk.

“In the end, we felt it would be best to do one those fade outs where they’re doing their back and forth,” Michael told Variety. “Sometimes it’s scripted, and sometimes it’s David and Emily doing their thing. David asked for some room for him and her to do their thing, in the finale, and we said absolutely.”
“Sometimes those things are scripted, but often David and Emily improvise. This was a combination of that,” Michael added in an interview with TV Line. “So it was written up to a certain point and then David was like, ‘Don’t worry about it. We’re going to do our thing.’ And they did. It’s always been a show where there’s this great trust. They trust us with what we put on the page and then they add that extra element, that extra little spark that has worked so well for 12 seasons.”

In addition to the show’s two stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, co-stars Michaela Conlin, T.J. Thyne, Michael Grant Terry, Sara Rue, Eugene Byrd, and Pej Vahdat also wrote on social media about the finale.
The show has been airing on Fox for 12 seasons, and has aired over 200 episodes.

Bones has been renewed for one final season, with stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz all set to return.
“This is for the fans!,” David said in a statement (via Deadline) “Thank you to everyone at Fox and of course Dana and Gary – for all your support. Thank you to Hart, Stephen, Ian, Michael and Jonathan. Also to the crew and cast for their countless support along the way! And I couldn’t have done it without you, Emily!”
Emily added, “I am thrilled the show will have the ending it deserves for all of our amazing, loyal fans!”
The final season will have 12 episodes, and producers promise “we can give the show, characters and fans the end they so richly deserve.”
Season 11 of Bones is set to return in April.
