Michelle Fairley, Carolyn Strauss, Emilia Clarke, Richard Madden, Rose Leslie, Alfie Allen, and author George R.R. Martin attend a panel for their show Game of Thrones held during 2012 Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday (July 13) in California.
During the panel, a slew of new cast members were announced, including legendary actress Diana Rigg who will take on the role of Queen of Thorns.
“There are so many people [in the cast]. Diana Rigg is so iconic, I can’t even get over it,” Emilia told MTV. “We were at the read-through and it was one of the things where you’re listening to everyone and kind of reading along with the script, and then Diana Rigg starts talking and you’re like, ‘I’m going to watch.’ She just blew my mind, she’s incredible.”
Later in the evening, the cast hit up HBO’s celebration party at the Wired Cafe.
