The reason that Cassie Randolph has filed a restraining order against ex-boyfriend, Colton Underwood, has been revealed.

According to a new report from US Weekly, the site says that Cassie, 25, filed the legal paperwork because of harassing her via text message, as well as putting a tracking device on her car.

Cassie claims that Colton had “placed a tracking device on the bottom of her car and alleged he has shown up uninvited to her apartment and parent’s home in Huntington Beach on ‘obsessive walks’ in the middle of the night.”

The two Bachelor Nation stars started dating after season 23 of The Bachelor, where Colton actually quit the show to be with her.

Cassie and Colton broke up and announced their split to fans in May this year.

Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwoood ended their relationship three months ago and now she has filed for a restraining order against him.

The former couple met on the 23rd season of The Bachelor, which aired in early 2019. They never got engaged, but decided to continue dating and exploring their relationship.

TMZ reported that Cassie filed for the restraining order on Friday (September 11) in Los Angeles, though it’s not immediately clear what her allegations are against him.

Back in July, Cassie called out Colton for trying to “monetize” their breakup by writing a new chapter for his book.

Colton later slammed the producers of The Bachelor for their “abuse” of Cassie. He says that they took advantage of her during her appearance on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever.

The former couple – who appeared on The Bachelor together – broke up a few months ago and it was thought they were keeping things amicable. In fact, just earlier this month, Colton was defending Cassie over something the Bachelor producers did.

Now, it appears as if the pair are not on good terms enough to follow each other on social media. In fact, Cassie‘s sister Michelle and Michelle‘s boyfriend, actor Gregg Sulkin, also seem to have unfollowed Colton.

While Colton and Cassie were dating, he recovered from the Coronavirus at the home of her parents with her family by his side.

Colton Underwood is not happy with The Bachelor.

The former football player and star of the series revealed why in an episode of the Reality Steve podcast – and it had to do with his ex Cassie Randolph.

During the appearance, Colton said that his ex was taken “advantage” of with her appearance on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever.

“Cass stayed extremely professional and extremely quiet about our breakup .What bugged me was the fact that that show took advantage of her. I get very defensive over people I love and I know Cass is a big girl and she can fight her own battles, but I just know her heart and she doesn’t want to rock the boat and she loves people, even if they abuse her or even if they take advantage of her, which they did,” he said.

He went on to say producers convinced her to go on the show to “get to know her” and discuss her latest ventures.

“I was like, ‘That’s not what they’re going to do to you.’ I wasn’t here to tell her what she can and can’t do, that’s just not who I am. I was like, ‘Do it, but I’m just warning you, this is what’s going to happen. They are going to point questions in my direction. I don’t care how long you talk to them, they are only going to air the parts about us or me.’ Which is what they did,” he went on to say.

Host Chris Harrison pressed her for information about the breakup throughout the interview, despite her insistence on keeping it private.

“I was more frustrated for her, because she just got completely taken advantage of and completely manipulated. You have Chris Harrison pointing questions saying, ‘I sense you don’t want to make Colton mad, or you’re afraid you’re going to upset Colton. It’s like, ‘No, Chris. I literally talked to her the morning of that interview. We’re good.’ Stop worrying about me or painting me to be this controlling or angry person. I’m not angry. If there’s anybody I’m upset about or upset with, it’s you guys.”

“The whole thing with the franchise and them interviewing her is what really bugged me and really upset me,” he added.

Colton recently addressed these rumors about his sexuality.

A few months ago, we learned that Colton Underwood had previously questioned his sexuality.

Now, he’s addressing if his sexuality contributed to his high-profile split from Cassie Randolph, who he dated for nearly two years after she won his season of The Bachelor.

“In regards to those rumors,” Colton said (on the Reality Steve podcast), “I addressed it pretty heavily in the book and I’ve gone through it throughout my whole entire life.” And of course it doesn’t help being on a national stage for the mental health aspect. But the bottom line is I’m not gay. I have love and support for anybody in the LGBTQ community and support that, and love is love at the end of the day.”

He added, “I’m sort of used to it at this point, but I don’t think I’m ever going to give a good enough answer. I’m always going to almost feel like I’m on defense probably for a very long time.”

He also spoke about his breakup and the additional chapter about the split that he wrote for his book, saying, “Maybe eventually we’ll address it together/ It should have been handled privately and we did handle it privately and sort of left it at that. As far as what the book was and is, the chapter is done. I wrote the chapter and she saw it and was OK with it and we made changes. I say we. I know it’s my book but like, there was more than just the breakup that was going to go into the book, the extra chapter.”

Cassie actually called out Colton over his book chapter about their split.

Demi Burnett, a former contestant on Colton Underwood‘s season of The Bachelor, is good friends with his ex Cassie Randolph, and she was asked about the reason why they broke up.

“I probably asked her like 50 times, ‘Why’d you guys break up?’ She would not talk about it. She is so respectful of that privacy they had,” Demi said on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast. “She had nothing bad to say about him. She cried at one point and she was just like, ‘It’s really hard.’ I know she cares about him so much. I don’t even know what happened.”

If you don’t know, Colton and Cassie announced their breakup in May of 2020. She briefly spoke about their relationship, but did not reveal any details, during one of ABC’s Bachelor specials.

Things took a turn when Colton got upset and Cassie called him out for trying to “monetize” their split.

“I think that’s ridiculous because she didn’t even say anything about the relationship at all,” Demi added. “I think he was just, like, being petty and trying to get a reaction out of her. But, I was really proud of her for what she said on her [Instagram] Story.”

The drama began earlier this week when Cassie made an appearance on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever to give an update on her life. She remained coy on the split from Colton, though it was obviously brought up in conversation with host Chris Harrison.

Colton took to Instagram on Thursday (July 9) and shared this message: “These last few weeks have been challenging because, by now, you all know I’m an open book and I enjoy sharing my life with y’all. When our relationship ended we agreed to handle things as privately as possible as we attempted to navigate our new relationship as friends. I chose to do that since we were living in this interim period, but obviously a lot changed this week. Every experience provides us with an opportunity for growth. If you’ve been kind enough to have followed our story you’ve been with us through all of the ups and downs which have taught me so many lessons. I’ve come to realize when you’re in the thick of it you just need to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective, in doing so I have gained so much clarity about what I want and more importantly what I need in a relationship. I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life with new stories and new people. I can’t thank y’all enough for your understanding and your support during this time. Your messages mean a lot!”

Cassie then went on her Instagram Stories to share a lengthy message in response to what Colton said. She also explained how he is allegedly going to “monetize” their breakup.
