Amy Poehler gets sandwiched in by a few of her famous friends at the premiere of Lucy and Desi held at the Directors Guild of America on Tuesday night (February 15) in Los Angeles.

Aubrey Plaza, Natasha Lyonne, and Kathryn Hahn all stepped out to support Amy, who directed the documentary, alongside Melissa Rivers, Ike Barinholtz, and Charo.

Lucy and Desi‘s daughter, Lucie Arnaz, was also at the premiere with her own daughter, actress Kate Luckinbill Conner.

When asked at the premiere how she’d like her late parents to be remembered, Lucie said “exactly the way we’re doing it right now. How can it get better than this?”

She told ET, “I mean, 70 years after their show went off the air and hundreds of years after they were born, to suddenly be, I don’t want to say reinvented, they’re not reinvented but rediscovered and re-appreciated and used to teach and to find a better way to live our life [is amazing].”

Lucy & Desi will debut on Amazon Prime Video beginning March 4.

The Bitch Who Stole Christmas is here for the holiday season!

The RuPaul-led, Don Scardino-directed holiday special is hitting VH1 on Thursday (December 2) at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Here’s a plot summary: “In the draggiest Christmas movie ever made, a workaholic big-city fashion journalist is sent to a Christmas-obsessed small town to dig up a story when she finds herself in the middle of cut-throat housewives, a high-stakes ‘Winter Ball’ competition, and a sinister plot that could destroy Christmas fore-evah!”

There are a ton of stars featured in the film as well, including plenty of RuPaul’s Drag Race alums.

Joaquin Phoenix is showing his support for animals.

The 38-year-old Joker actor attended thhe Mercy For Animals 20th Anniversary Gala at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (September 14) in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted by Kat Graham.

Paul Wesley and wife Ines de Ramon, Kat Von D, Moby, Rob Zombie, Daisy Fuentes, Richard Marx, Kevin Smith, Charo, Diane Warren, Sarah Jeffery, Alison Pill, Daniella Monet and Nev Schulman were also in attendance.

Kat Von D received the Mercy For Animals “Hope Award” presented by Rob Zombie, while Marco Borges received the Mercy For Animals “Global Impact Award” presented by Daisy Fuentes.

Rena Roseman received the Mercy For Animals “Legacy Award” presented by Alison Pill and Joshua Leonard, and Lindsay Oliver received Mercy For Animals “Hidden Hero Award” presented by Kevin Smith and Harley Quinn Smith.

Charo confirmed that her husband, Kjell Rasten, died by suicide at the age of 79 on Monday (February 18).

“Yesterday, Kjell, my husband of forty years and the love of my life killed himself. There are no words to describe what we are feeling now. He was an amazing man, a great husband and the best father I could imagine to our son. He dedicated his life to loving and supporting his family,” Charo wrote on her Instagram account.

“In recent years, his health began to decline and he developed a rare and horrible skin disease called Bullous Pemphigoid. He also became very depressed. That, along with the many medications he needed to take, became too much for him, and he ended his suffering,” Charo continued.

The Mayo Clinic describes Bullous Pemphigoid as a “rare skin condition that causes large, fluid-filled blisters.”

“None of us had any idea this could happen to such a wonderful, kind and generous man. Please, if anyone you know and love is suffering from depression or illness, hold them close, tell them you love them with all your heart and that the world is better because they are in it. Get any help you can. Suicide is not the answer,” she added, before thanking her fans for their love and prayers.

Our thoughts are with Charo, their son Shel, and Kjell‘s loved ones during this time.

Kjell Rasten, Charo‘s husband of more than 40 years, has died in an apparent suicide.

The 79-year-old died on Monday afternoon (February 18) from what has been reported as a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the family home in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Charo was home at the time and someone in the house called 911, according to TMZ. Rasten was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Kjell and Charo, famous for her role on Love Boat and for being a 70s icon, got married in 1978 and they shared one son, Shel Rasten. You can see recent photos of them together in the gallery.
