DJ Casper, whose birth name was Willie Perry Jr., has sadly died at the age of 58.
The DJ was best known for creating the “Cha Cha Slide,” which he made in 1998 as a song for the aerobics class that his nephew taught at the time. By 2004, the song had become an international hit and you’ve most likely danced to it at a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, or other function.
Casper‘s wife Kim confirmed to ABC that he passed away after a seven-year battle with cancer.
