The new movie Doctor Sleep, which is a sequel to the classic movie The Shining, is now in theaters and you might be wondering if the film includes a post-credits scene.

Many movies throughout the past decade (especially ones that are part of a franchise) use the strategy of an end credits scene to tease future installments.

So, if you’re wondering if you should stay during the credits of Doctor Sleep for additional scenes, we have your answer. We can confirm that the movie does NOT have an end credits scene.

The 47-year-old actor was spotted getting a visit from his girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead on the set that afternoon.

Doctor Sleep is a sequel to the classic horror film The Shining. Ewan will be playing the role of Danny Torrance, who was a child in the original Stanley Kubrick movie.

The movie, also starring Rebecca Ferguson and Bruce Greenwood, is set to hit theaters on January 24, 2020.

Rebecca Ferguson is in negotiations to join the cast of Doctor Sleep, the upcoming sequel to the classic horror film The Shining.

Ewan McGregor is set to star as the adult version of Danny Torrance, who was just a child in the first film.

Doctor Sleep will be an adaptation of Stephen King‘s novel and it follows Danny as he “carries the trauma of the Overlook Hotel into adulthood. He’s become a reflection of his murderous father, with lingering rage and a drinking problem that dulls his pain as well as his ‘shining’ powers. Those powers return when he embraces sobriety and uses his gift to help the dying at a hospice,” according to Variety.

Danny then teams up with a young girl who has similar powers and is being targeted by a group with similar abilities.

Rebecca‘s character is not yet known. She will soon be seen in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and she starred in last year’s hit musical The Greatest Showman.

Mike Flanagan will direct the upcoming film, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

The film will be an adaptation of Stephen King‘s 2013 novel.

The story follows the now adult Danny Torrance, who is dealing with alcoholism and the trauma of what happened to him as a child at the haunted Colorado hotel. Along the way, he’s presented with an opportunity to use the shining power he discovered in the first book in a way that can help a young girl.
