Dumb and Dumber To has beaten out the competition to take the top spot at the weekend box office with $38.1 million, THR reports.

The sequel stars original cast members Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels and opened over 20 years after the first movie hit theaters.

Both Big Hero 6 and Interstellar, both in their second weekends at the box office, performed well.

Big Hero 6 came in at number 2 with $36 million, and Interstellar fell to number 3 with $29.2 million.

Rounding out the top five were Beyond the Lights, which brought in $6.5 million, and Gone Girl, which brought in $4.6 million.

The duo filmed the sequel to Dumb and Dumber that day in front of a chicken restaurant – look out for the flick in theaters next year!

The day before, Jim attended a book signing for his new book “How Roland Rolls” at Barnes & Noble in New York City’s Union Square district.

The 51-year-old actor and Jeff, 58, share a bike ride while reprising their signature roles as Lloyd and Harry in the sequel to the 1994 smash hit.

“How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry!,” Jim shared on his Twitter account along with a hilarious snapshot. “Yep… THEY’RE BAAAAAACK!”

“We’re Back!!! #DumbTo,” Jeff also tweeted along with pic.

Dumb And Dumber To is expected to hit theaters next year – We can’t wait!
