Whitney Houston‘s secret relationship with her former assistant Robyn Crawford is addressed in the movie I Wanna Dance With Somebody and now her longtime collaborator Clive Davis is confirming the affair did happen.

Robyn and Whitney met in 1980 when they were both counselors at a summer camp. They were reportedly 16 and 19, respectively, at the time. Robyn eventually began working for Whitney as her assistant and while there were always rumors that they were more than friends, they never confirmed anything.

It wasn’t until 2019 when Robyn published her book “A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston” that she confirmed their romantic relationship.

Clive is now confirming the relationship too and explaining why it needed to be included in the Whitney biopic.

Naomi Ackie is all smiles on the red carpet alongside her co-star Stanley Tucci!

The 30-year-old actress stunned in a black gown while attending the premiere of her movie I Wanna Dance With Somebody on Monday (December 19) at the Ham Yard Hotel in London, England.

Naomi stars as Whitney Houston in the biopic of the late singer.

The film is a no-holds-barred portrait of the complex and multifaceted woman behind The Voice. From New Jersey choir girl to one of the best-selling and most awarded recording artists of all time, audiences are taken on an inspirational, poignant—and so emotional—journey through Houston’s trailblazing life and career, with show-stopping performances and a soundtrack of the icon’s most beloved hits as you’ve never heard them before.

Also in attendance at the premiere were longtime couple Cynthia Erivo and Lena Waithe.

Flavor Flav recreated an iconic outfit for his appearance at the I Wanna Dance With Somebody world premiere.

The entertainer paid homage to the late Whitney Houston by wearing a recreation of her iconic Super Bowl tracksuit at the event on Tuesday (December 13) at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York City.

Flav shared on social media that the original suit he had custom-made never arrived. He landed in New York this morning, picked up a new suit, and reached out to Lucci Brand to get it custom outfitted by end of day.

A few weeks ago, Flav stole the spotlight at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and his cameo during the broadcast made him the #1 trending topic on Twitter that day. He’s starting to tease on social media that new music could be coming soon.

The 30-year-old actress, best known for her work in The End of the F***ing World, plays the iconic singer in the new film I Wanna Dance With Somebody. She walked the carpet at the world premiere screening on Tuesday (December 13) at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

Naomi was joined by her co-stars Stanley Tucci, Nafessa Williams, Clarke Peters, Tamara Tunie, Ashton Sanders, Tanner Beard, and Kris Sidberry, as well as director Kasi Lemmons.

Stanley, who portrays music exec Clive Davis in the film, posed with the real-life figure on the carpet.
