First-time director Darren Le Gallo gets the support of wife Amy Adams at the friends and family screening of their new movie, Sam & Kate, on Thursday (November 17) at the Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The generational drama is a feel-good movie featuring on-screen and off-screen families with Oscar-winning parents: Dustin Hoffman and son Jake Hoffman as well as Sissy Spacey and daughter Schuyler Fisk.

Here’s the synopsis of the film: When Sam (Jake Hoffman) returns to his small town to care for his ailing father (Dustin Hoffman), he soon finds himself falling for a local woman, Kate (Schuyler Fisk). Simultaneously, his father begins finding love with Kate’s mother (Sissy Spacek). But both couples must confront their past in order to make their new love work for the future.

Darren spent the last seven years pouring his heart into this project – writing, producing and directing. Amy was also on board as executive producer.

Also in attendance at the screening were Andy Garcia, Eyal Booker, Jack McBrayer, Jayson Blair, Lily Kershaw, Rachael Leigh Cook, Robin Tunney, Selma Blair, Skeet Ulrich and many more.

Patricia Arquette and Angela Bassett hug it out on the red carpet at the premiere of Otherhood on Wednesday night (July 31) at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.

The stars were joined at the premiere of their new Netflix movie by co-stars Frank De Julio, Jake Hoffman, Sinqua Walls, Emily Tremaine, and Tim Bagley along with director Cindy Chupack and Patricia‘s longtime boyfriend Eric White.

Skipping out on the premiere was Felicity Huffman – who has been staying out of the spotlight after she pled guilty for her role in the college admissions scandal. Her sentencing is set to take place on September 14.

Here’s the synopsis: Feeling forgotten on Mother’s Day, three best friends drive from the suburbs to New York City to reconnect with their adult sons.

Krysten Ritter rocks an all black ensemble while attending the screening of her latest film Asthma held at the Roxy Hotel on Thursday (October 8) in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress was joined by writer/director Jake Hoffman, Erin Heatherton, her co-stars Benedict Samuel and Dov Tiefenbach, as well as Dean Winters at the event hosted by The Cinema Society and Northwest.

The film is about Jim, a socially awkward EDM musician (Jake Hoffman) with a traumatic past, a tenuous grip on reality, and voices in his head. When he meets Wendy (Reed), he thinks he might finally have a shot at happiness. But as long-buried memories begin to stir, and his crush turns into obsession, Jim finds himself looking into a violent abyss… and he won’t be going alone.

In the scene, Jim tries to ask Wendy out on a date, but he can’t get his words out so she helps him out and suggests they go to lunch together.
