Nick Jonas In Talks to Play Frankie Valli in 'Jersey Boys' Special Event

Nick Jonas is in talks to play the lead role of Frankie Valli in an upcoming special event performance of the musical Jersey Boys, which is intended to debut exclusively on a streaming service.

The producers of the Tony-winning musical are reportedly hoping to replicate the success of Hamilton‘s debut on Disney+ last year, according to Deadline.

The streaming event is being produced by Bohemian Rhapsody‘s Graham King along with the original Broadway producers. The Four Seasons members Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio are also involved in the project.

The role of Frankie was originated in the musical Jersey Boys by John Lloyd Young, who won the Tony Award and went on to star in the film version, which was directed by Clint Eastwood.

One of the original members of the Four Seasons sadly passed away back in September due to COVID-19 complications.

The movie musical tells the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons. It is in theaters now!

'Jersey Boys' Movie Trailer - Clint Eastwood Brings Broadway's Hit to the Big Screen!

The trailer for the highly anticipated movie Jersey Boys has finally been released!

Clint Eastwood has turned the Tony Award-winning musical into a big screen version starring the musical’s original star John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli.

The film tells the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons. The story of their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the songs that influenced a generation, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Dawn,” “Rag Doll,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “Who Loves You,” and more.

Erich Bergen, Michael Lomenda, Vincent Piazza, Christopher Walken, and Mike Doyle also star in the movie, set to hit theaters on June 20.

Erich Bergen Confirmed for Bob Gaudio in 'Jersey Boys' Film!

Erich Bergen has been confirmed to play Bob Gaudio, one of the original members of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, in the upcoming movie musical Jersey Boys!

The 27-year-old actor will be reprising the role that he has played in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas versions of the show, as well as on tour around the country. He is the first actor to be confirmed to play one of the four lead roles in the film, which will be directed by Clint Eastwood.

Christopher Walken is set to play Angelo ‘Gyp’ DeCarlo and some of the film’s supporting roles have already been cast. The Broadway show’s original Frankie Valli, John Lloyd Young, is reportedly going to reprise his role in the film, while Vincent Piazza is rumored to play Tommy Devito and Michael Lomenda is rumored to play Nick Massi.
