Bette Midler Performs 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' from 'Mary Poppins Returns' at Oscars 2019

Bette Midler is all smiles after her performance at the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 73-year-old iconic entertainer looked so pretty in red, white, and blue floral-print dress as she performed “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from Mary Poppins Returns.

“The Place Where Lost Things Go” is nominated tonight for Best Original Song written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

James Corden Films 'Mary Poppins' Skit with Ben Kingsley!

It looks like James Corden has another crosswalk musical in the works!

The 38-year-old talk show host was seen wearing all of the iconic costumes from the movie Mary Poppins while filming alongside Sir Ben Kingsley on Wednesday (May 31) in London, England.

James played the role of Mary, of course, while Sir Ben was dressed up as chimney sweep Bert. The songs they performed include “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

Corden‘s show is all repeats this week, so we can expect to hopefully see the skit air next week!

Colin Firth Set to Star in 'Mary Poppins' Remake

Colin Firth is joining the upcoming movie Mary Poppins Returns!

The 56-year-old actor will play play William Weatherall Wilkins, president of Fidelity Fiduciary Bank, according to Variety.

The cast also includes Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Ben Whishaw, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Emily Mortimer.

The film takes place 25 years after the original as Michael and Jane “are all grown up and suddenly get a visit from the magical nanny.”

Mary Poppins Returns will hit theaters on December 25, 2018.

Emily Mortimer Joins 'Mary Poppins Returns' as Jane Banks!

Emily Mortimer has signed on to play Jane Banks in the Mary Poppins revival, Mary Poppins Returns, Variety reports.

If you remember from the original film, Jane Banks is one of the two children that Mary Poppins comes to look after. Michael Banks, the other sibling in the household, has not yet been cast. The movie will be set 25 years after the original film.

Emily Blunt is playing the title character with Lin-Manuel Miranda as a street lamplighter named Jack and Meryl Streep as Mary Poppins’ cousin.

The movie is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2018. We can’t wait!

Lin-Manuel Miranda to Play New Role in 'Mary Poppins' Sequel

Lin-Manuel Miranda is in talks to play a new role in the upcoming Mary Poppins sequel!

The 36-year-old entertainer, who stars in and created Broadway’s smash hit musical Hamilton, will play Jack, who is a character similar to that of Bert, played by Dick Van Dyke in the original film.

The movie will “center on the now grown-up Jane and Michael Banks who have experienced a personal loss that results in the arrival of the magical Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt). She teams up with her lamplighter friend Jack (Miranda) to help the family,” according to THR.

Rob Marshall, who has previously directed the movie musicals Chicago and Into the Woods, will direct the movie. Hairspray writers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman are writing new songs for the film.

Emily Blunt in Talks to Star in Disney's 'Mary Poppins' Sequel!

Emily Blunt is reportedly in talks to star as the title character in the upcoming sequel to the beloved movie Mary Poppins.

The 32-year-old actress’ deal is not yet finalized and her pregnancy may affect her decision. Emily is currently expecting her second child with husband John Krasinski.

The Mary Poppins sequel will be directed by Rob Marshall and produced by Marc Platt and John DeLuca, the team that Emily previously worked with on Disney’s movie musical Into the Woods.

The upcoming movie “will take place in Depression-era London 20 years after the first film and will take story lines from P.L. Travers‘ children books focusing on the magical nanny’s continued adventures with the Banks family,” according to Variety.

New 'Mary Poppins' Film in the Works with Disney & Rob Marshall!

Disney is reportedly making a movie musical out of the classic Disney film Mary Poppins!

Into the Woods helmer Rob Marshall is set to direct, Variety reports, with John DeLuca and Marc Platt set to produce.

The film is set to take place in London 20 years after the original film, which starred Julie Andrews in the title role, and will focus on P.L. Travers‘ children books and the adventures with the Banks family.

Dick Van Dyke also starred in the original film, which hit theaters in 1964.
