Green Day hit the stage for a performance on the 2024 Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Sunday night (December 31)!
The trio performed two of their hit songs – “American Idiot” and “Holiday” – from their 2004 album American Idiot during the pre-taped performances from the Hollywood portion of the segment.
During “American Idiot,” lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong changed up one of the lyrics to make it more timely to today’s political climate.

Miley Cyrus has hosted a New Year’s Eve special for the past two years, but she’s not ringing in 2024 on TV!
The 31-year-old entertainer was joined by her “Aunt Dolly,” aka Dolly Parton, for the 2023 Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, which aired on NBC and Peacock.
However, she won’t be celebrating the new year with a special this year, and NBC will be focusing on much different content this New Year’s Eve.

Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are returning once again to co-host New Year’s Eve on CNN!
The longtime best friends will ring in 2024 live from Times Square in New York City, and they’ll be joined by several guests throughout the telecast.
“There’s no one I’d rather spend New Year’s Eve with and nowhere I’d rather be at midnight than New York’s Times Square!” Anderson has shared.
“Spending new years with my dear friend Anderson is my idea of a great time, and a happy tradition that I look forward to all year long,” Andy added.
Sara Sidner and Cari Champion will take over at 12:30am ET for the Central time zone celebration at Auditorium Shores in Austin, Tex.
The 2024 New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen will begin TONIGHT (December 31) at 8pm ET on CNN. It will also stream live on CNN Max and for pay TV subscribers via CNN.com, CNN connected TV and mobile apps.

ABC and Dick Clark Productions are coming together once again for the nation’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration.
The Times Square event will be hosted by 19-time host Ryan Seacrest, as well as Rita Ora.

CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash is set to air tonight to ring in 2024 with an amazing group of performers!
We’ve gathered the list of names set to perform this evening as you tune in.
The show is set to be hosted by Cody Alan, as well as CBS’ Lonnie Quinn. Lonnie and Dustin Lynch will both be in NYC’s Times Square to mark the occasion. The program kicks off on CBS at 7:30pm ET and will end at 10pm for a brief 30 minute hiatus before picking back up again at 10:30pm ET. Be sure to tune in to catch all the amazing performances!
