A live-action remake of the beloved animated movie How to Train Your Dragon is currently in the works and Universal Pictures has announced the young actors who will take on the lead roles of Hiccup and Astrid.
The franchise has been a huge hit for DreamWorks Animation, with the three films grossing more than $1.5 billion at the global box office combined.

Lots of stars were in attendance for the Chanel fashion show during Paris Fashion Week!
Penelope Cruz, Zoe Saldana, and Dianna Agron were among the celebs who posed at the photo call on Tuesday morning (March 7) in Paris, France.
Also in attendance were Gossip Girl‘s Whitney Peak, 13 Reasons Why‘s Tommy Dorfman, The Last of Us‘ Nico Parker, Rings‘ Matilda Lutz, and music stars H.E.R. and FKA twigs.

Paul Mescal, Letitia Wright, Gemma Chan and Taron Egerton were just a few of the stars to attend the 2023 Newport Beach Film Festival UK Honours on Thursday evening (February 16).

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey hug it out at the premiere of their new series, The Last of Us, held at the Regency Village Theatre on Monday (January 9) in Los Angeles.
The two actors were joined by co-stars Lamar Johnson, Jeffrey Pierce, Storm Reid, Nico Parker, Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman, and Con O’Neill on the red carpet.
Based on the video game, The Last of Us centers on Joel and Ellie, a pair connected through the harshness of the world they live in, are forced to endure brutal circumstances and ruthless killers on a trek across a post-outbreak America.
In a new interview, game creator Neil Druckmann opened up about how much of the video game would be implemented in the show.
“We need a certain amount of action, or violence, that we could use for mechanics so you could connect with Joel and get into a flow state,” he shared with SFX magazine, via Collider. “Then you would really feel like you’re connected with this on-screen avatar and you’re seeing the world through his eyes.”
But will all the violence in the video game be on the small screen? Neil says that it’ll be cut back by a lot.
“One of the things that I loved hearing from [co-creator Craig Mazin] and HBO very early on was, ‘Let’s take out all the violence except for the very essential.’ That allowed the violence to have even more impact than in the game, because when you hold on showing the threat and you’re seeing people’s reaction to a threat, that makes it scarier,” he added. “When we do reveal the infected and the Clickers, you get to see what brought down humanity and why everyone is so scared.”
The Last of Us premieres on Friday, January 13.

Julia Roberts poses alongside George and Amal Clooney at the Ticket to Paradise premiere at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Wednesday (September 7) in London, England.
George and Julie co-star in the film and Amal, a human rights lawyer, showed her support for the pair! Also in attendance at the premiere were co-stars Kaitlyn Dever, Lucas Bravo, and Maxime Bouttier, along with writer/directer Ol Parker who was joined by daughters Nico and Ripley.

Thandiwe Newton gets a big hug from her daughter Nico Parker as they arrive at the premiere of Reminiscence held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday night (August 17) in Hollywood.
The mother and daughter actress duo were joined on the red carpet by Aaron Paul, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Wright, Daniel Wu and Luke Hemsworth.
Director Lisa Joy, Sam Medina, and Alexis Ren were also seen at the premiere event.
Reminiscence centers on a scientist, who discovers a way to relive your past and uses the technology to search for his long lost love.
Whilst a private investigator uncovers a conspiracy while helping his clients recover lost memories.
The film, also starring Hugh Jackman, will be out in theaters on Friday, August 20.

Thandiwe Newton‘s daughter, Nico Parker, has joined the cast of the upcoming series The Last Of Us, which is an adaptation of the very popular video game by the same name.
The series also stars as Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Gabriel Luna, who are set to appear as Joel, Ellie and Tommy.
Nico will take on the role of Joel’s daughter in the upcoming HBO series, Deadline reports. The series “takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”
