WWE's Triple H Apologizes to Paige After Making a 'Terrible' Joke About Her

Paul “Triple H” Levesque – a former WWE wrestler and the company’s current EVP of Talent, Live Events, and Creative – is apologizing to former wrestling star Paige for the “terrible” joke he made about her.

Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, had to retire from the WWE due to a neck injury. In a recent press conference, Triple H addressed rumors that she and fellow retired star Edge might return to the ring.

“When you’re talking about people as talented as Edge and Paige, who wouldn’t want them to return? I’m a fan, just like everyone else. Yeah, I’d love to see them step in the ring and compete,” he said. “More importantly than that though I’d like to see them live long healthy lives.”

Edge has kids, you know, Paige — she probably has some she doesn’t know of,” he added.

Paige has been the subject of slut-shaming and negative comments from fans after her private videos and photos were leaked in 2017. She responded to the comments by tweeting, “Even my boss jokes about me.. no wonder you guys still do it too.”

Triple H took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote, “I’ve reached out to @RealPaigeWWE to apologize. I made a terrible joke and I’m sorry if it offended her or anyone else.”

If you didn’t know, Paige is the subject of the 2019 movie Fighting With My Family.

WWE Superstar Paige Opens Up About Mental Health Battle After Sex Tape Leak

Paige is recovering after having her privacy invaded by hackers.

The 27-year-old WWE wrestling star, also known as Saraya-Jade Bevis, opened up about how she’s dealt with the leak of her personal videos and photos in an interview with Fox News on Thursday (September 5).

“Obviously, it’s very hard to stay positive when you have something that’s so publicly humiliating to yourself and then still to this day, this was over two years ago now. I did suffer a lot. I did. Just emotionally because at the time I was having my neck surgery too, and I had stress-induced anorexia. I lost all my hair. I had some really horrible thoughts. I had to go to therapy. It took me a while to get over because obviously, no woman wants to go through that,” she revealed.

“But at the same time, I was like, ‘OK I can’t change this.’ Same with me not being able to wrestle. I can’t change this. There’s nothing I can do about it. So why am I still dwelling on it? It happened. People have seen it. Like I can use this to help others now,” she went on to explain.

“And so now I’m going with the Bella Twins and we went to a woman’s hostel place, with kids and stuff, like I get to go talk to kids about it, I’m just like, ‘Hey, like never do something when it comes to your phones.’ Because like this is a different world nowadays. Like things come out and things happen so I was like, ‘You have to think twice before you make the same kind of mistake as I did.’ So now I get to use it and utilize it on a different platform and help others with it. So I’m like it’s a horrible thing that happened, but now it’s a tool to help the next generation of people you know?”
