Pietro Boselli is defending his recent trip to Saudi Arabia.

The 31-year-old Italian model took to Instagram on Tuesday (December 24) to address the backlash he faced for attending the MDL Beast Music Festival in the Middle East.

“Like my friend @moalturki put it, seeing is believing,” Pietro wrote along with the video. “Let’s NOT stereotype, isolate, hate and boycott a country. Go meet its people and hear them out. Saudi is undergoing tremendous changes, for the better. Of course this does not mean forgetting the wrong that happened there. What is wrong should be condemned.”

People have been criticizing the celebs for attending the festival due to the human rights violations in the country recently. Journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in the country, multiple journalists were outed as gay and detained, and the Saudi government has a history of oppression of women.

Pietro continued: “But a positive change, and in this case openness, should be seen as progress, and a welcome one. Let’s please stop with this social media culture of outrage and division, and instead foster debate, tolerance and pluralism. These are the real liberal values we need. Not unilateral aggression and finger-pointing, and definitely not any more hatred.”

The 31-year-old model became an internet sensation a few years ago after he was dubbed the “sexy math teacher” during his days as a professor at University College London.

Pietro has since segued into a career in modeling and has nearly 3 million followers on Instagram these days. He also has launched his own fashion sportswear brand, Petra Design, which he is wearing in the photos.

“I work out every day, and usually twice a day,” Pietro has said about his fitness routine. “I’ve tried out a few different exercise regimens during my life, from swimming, to running, to triathlon, but in the last few years I have focused mainly on strength training. At the gym my workout routine changes all the time. I go through periods of lifting heavy, then periods of focusing more on form and stretch to keep the body guessing.”

Adriana Lima keeps it chic and sophisticated as she strikes a pose at The Gentleman’s Evening at The Hotel Martinez hosted by Chopard, Gentleman’s Journal and Annabel on Tuesday (May 21) in Cannes, France.

Th 37-year-old supermodel was joined by Colin Firth and wife Livia as they attended the event held during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Taron Egerton and Richard Madden are all smiles while attending the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque on Thursday (November 22) at The Old Truman Brewery in London, England.

The guys both have big projects out right now – Taron‘s new film Robin Hood is in theaters and Richard‘s series Bodyguard is a big hit on Netflix.

The short film was shot over the course of six weeks in New York and Los Angeles on 16mm film by Greek cinematographer, Thimios Bakatakis and set to an original soundtrack by long time brand collaborator Thom Yorke.

The film features characters in eight separate vignettes, each capturing a moment throughout the course of one day. All clothing worn in the film is from the rag & bone FW18 collection.
