The couple co-stars in the new music video by Residente for “Antes Que El Mundo Se Acabe” (or “Before the World Ends”), which was released on Thursday (May 14).
The couples all submitted their videos from wherever they are amid quarantine.
The video of Ben and Ana appeared to be from their trip to the desert from her recent birthday.
“This video came out to keep us in company. We share the same fear because we have never faced a pandemic like this in these times, but a pandemic like this has never faced such a force of solidarity. Thanks to all of the kisses in all of the languages. And if this is the end, we will find the beauty of it. But perhaps now is when it all begin,” Residente said on Instagram.
The 25-year-old “Callaita” singer teamed up with fellow Puerto Rican musicians Residente and iLe for new protest song “Afilando Los Cuchillos,” shared by Residente on Wednesday (July 17).
“Afilando Los Cuchillos” translates to “Sharpening The Knives.”
“We’re basically telling a story as if we were a newspaper but even better,” iLe told NPR. “More open, more direct and more raw. What we are saying is what we are seeing in the streets. We are telling a story of the moment we are in right now.”
“It’s been crazy but there is very much adrenaline at the same time,” she added. “Sometimes when you’re angry you get out your best work!”
