'Zombie Boy' Rick Genest's Official Cause of Death Revealed One Year Later

“Zombie Boy” Rick Genest‘s cause of death has been ruled by an accident.

The 32-year-old heavily tattooed model and artist passed away last year after what had previously been thought to be a suicide.

Rick suffered head trauma after falling from the third floor of his apartment and since medical records said he’d sought help for mental health problems, it was rumored that he took his own life.

Now coroner Melissa Gagnon says Rick‘s passing was “an accidental death” and there was no “clear and unequivocal intention to end his life.”

Melissa added, “Some close friends reported that he heard voices, particularly when he used substances. However, Mr. Genest did not seem to be in a state of psychosis or delirium when he went out on the balcony.”

Our thoughts continue to be with Rick‘s loved ones at this time.
