There was an incredible In Memoriam tribute at the 2020 Tony Awards.

Broadway legends like Kelli O’Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Norm Lewis, Bernadette Peters, and Robbie Fairchild all participated in the tribute on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

Bernadette kicked things off by giving a speech to help Broadway say goodbye to those we’ve lost over the past year and a half. Robbie then gave a dance performance which was followed by Brian performing “The Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha. Kelli and Norm ended the segment with a stunning performance of “Somewhere” from West Side Story.

The stars of the new movie musical Cats stepped out for the world premiere!

Jennifer Hudson, Idris Elba, James Corden, Rebel Wilson, and newcomer Francesca Hayward were among the stars who walked the red carpet at Lincoln Center on Monday night (December 16) in New York City.

Also in attendance were Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, Robbie Fairchild, Laurie Davidson, and dancers Les Twins.

Idris was joined on the red carpet by his wife Sabrina.

FYI: Jennifer is wearing a Reem Acra dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. Taylor is wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress, Chloe Gosselin shoes, Maxior earrings, and rings by Borgioni and Beladora. Francesca is wearing Miu Miu. Laurie is wearing a Stella McCartney jacket and trousers, a Sandro turtleneck, and Chelsea boots. Rebel is wearing an Eloquii dress.

Rebel Wilson, Francesca Hayward and Jennifer Hudson happily strike a pose together on the blue carpet while attending their photo call for their anticipated film Cats held at The Corinthia Hotel on Friday (December 13) in London, England.

The three ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Laurie Davidson, Sir Ian McKellen, Jason Derulo, Robbie Fairchild, Larry Bourgeois and Laurent Bourgeois, as well as the film’s writer-director Tom Hooper.

Earlier in the week, just Francesca Hayward and Jason Derulo attended their first photo call for Cats in Berlin.

Taylor Swift, who also stars in the film, was not able to make it out to the photo call due to her attendance at last night’s 2019 Billboard’s Women in Music event, where she was honored with the Woman of the Decade Award.

Justin Theroux is featured in a new feature called “Men & Jewelry: A Love Story” for Town & Country Magazine, out now.

The feature celebrates the first time in the history of Tiffany Blue Book that men’s high jewelry pieces have been added in a series of lapel pins and signet rings.

Justin and his dog, Kuma, Olympic fencer Miles Chamley Watson, dancer and actor Robbie Fairchild, artist Adam Pendleton, Oklahoma actor Patrick Vaill and the late artist John Giorno were all photographed by Reed Krakoff, Tiffany & Co.’s chief artistic director, for the feature.

Justin, on what jewelry he wears and why: “I always wear a signet ring on my right hand and a gold watch. Once I lock in on things, they’re what I wear for years.”

On his other favorite collector’s item, vintage t-shirts: “I’ve collected them since I was a kid.”

John Giorno on jewelry: “I love the idea of a man wearing a brooch. In the 17th and 18th centuries men wore elaborate jewelry pieces, and I’m fascinated by that. There’s no reason a man can’t do that today.”

One thing that most Broadway fans agree on is that the plot of the musical Cats is super confusing and people aren’t even sure what the show is about.

When it was announced that the musical would be made into a movie, the news was met with lots of groans. But now the latest trailer for the film has done something that previous marketing materials never did… it explained the plot!

Judi Dench‘s Old Deuteronomy does a voiceover in the new trailer and she basically reveals what is going on in the film: “Tonight is a magical night where I choose the cat that deserves a new life… I judge a cat by its soul.”

“The most deserving cat will be reborn into another life so they can be who they’ve always dreamed of being,” Robbie Fairchild‘s Munkustrap then says.

Here’s the synopsis provided by Universal: “Over the course of a single night, a tribe of cats called the Jellicles make what is known as ‘the Jellicle choice’ and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.”
