“I crossed the line. I regret it and I do apologize for it. The problem is, a lot of women have heard that word at the worst time in their lives, and don’t want it reclaimed. I don’t want to inflict more pain on them. I want this show to be challenging and to be honest,” she said on the show.

“I never intended it to hurt anyone except Ted Cruz,” she joked.

She also said she “didn’t care” that some men were offended and that she “hated that it distracted from more important issues.”

Kathy Griffin Calls Out Donald Trump for His Samantha Bee Tweet

Just one day after Kathy Griffin detailed how she believed Donald Trump used his power as President to send “order[s] to his millions of followers” with his tweets, she’s now sticking up for Samantha Bee.

Hours ago, Trump sent out a tweet about Samantha after the controversy over her remark about Ivanka Trump.

“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!,” Trump tweeted, to which Kathy responded, “Nope. You’re not gonna do to @iamsambee what you tried to do to me. This isn’t just Trump expressing his opinion, he’s using his platform as president to order his followers to go after Sam. And he’s keeping the story active.”
