The musical Head Over Heels, which was performed on Broadway in 2018, has been reimagined with a new dance party production that is currently playing in Los Angeles!

The Pasadena Playhouse kicked off its 2021-2022 season with the new musical, which features the music of the iconic LA-based female rock band, The Go-Go’s.

The music follows a royal family in search of a purpose, lovers in search of each other, and a whole kingdom in search of a beat. Songs in the musical include “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” “We Got the Beat,” and Belinda Carlisle‘s “Heave is a Place on Earth.”

The musical was originally produced for a traditional proscenium stage on Broadway, but the new 90-minute, intermission-free production in Pasadena puts the audience in the middle of the theater with a dance floor setting. There are also seats for those who don’t want to stand!

Sutton Foster will be leading the star-studded cast of the Hollywood Bowl’s production of the classic musical Into the Woods this summer!

The two-time Tony-winning star will play the role of the Baker’s Wife opposite Skylar Astin as The Baker.

Also joining the cast are Sierra Boggess as Cinderella, Cheyenne Jackson as Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf, Chris Carmack as Rapunzel’s Prince, Hailey Kilgore as Rapunzel, and Anthony Crivello as the Mysterious Man.

Already announced as cast members are Patina Miller as the Witch, Gaten Matarazzo as Jack, Shanice Williams as Little Red Riding Hood, and the voice of Whoopi Goldberg as the Giant.

The musical will run for three performances – July 26, 27, and 28 – at the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets are on sale now!

Queen Latifah is all smiles as she poses for photographs at The Television Academy’s panel discussion for NBC’s The Wiz Live! held at The Director’s Guild Of America on Wednesday (June 1) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 46-year-old entertainer was joined at the event by her co-stars Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Shanice Williams, David Alan Grier, Amber Riley, Elijah Kelley, executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, director Kenny Leon, and moderator Holly Robinson Peete.

The panel, which was presented for Emmy voters and fans, also included live musical performances from the cast members.

Tina Fey and Tituss Burguess pose for a cute photo while on the red carpet at MCC Theater’s Miscast event on Monday (April 4) in New York City.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-stars performed a surprise duet at the event. They sang “You’re Nothing Without Me” from the Broadway musical City of Angels. Watch the video below!

Other stars in attendance included the night’s honoree Marisa Tomei and performers Beth Behrs, Lea Salonga, Cynthia Erivo, and Shanice Williams.

Bobby Cannavale is dapper as he hits the red carpet at the 2016 Miscast Gala held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday (April 4) in New York City.

The 45-year-old actor was joined by guest of honor Marisa Tomei, Aaron Tveit, Beth Behrs, Shanice Williams, She Loves Me‘s Gavin Creel, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Tituss Burgess, and The Color Purple‘s Cynthia Erivo at the event featuring Broadway stars performing songs from shows and roles in which they would never ordinarily be cast.

That same evening, Bobby made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he promoted his HBO series Vinyl and talked about his newborn baby boy with Rose Byrne, Rocco!

“He’s sweet, he’s a really good boy,” Bobby told Jimmy. “He’s smells good.”

Jussie Smollett and Shanice Williams hit the carpet for the 2016 NAACP Image Awards Non-Televised Awards Ceremony held at the Pasadena Conference Center on Thursday night (February 4) in Pasadena, Calif.

The two actors joined Bunk’D starlet Skai Jackson, black-ish stars Miles Brown, Marsai Martin and Marcus Scribner (not pictured), plus K.C. Undercover‘s Trinitee Stokes and Tammy Townsend, and Fresh Off The Boat‘s Hudson Yang.

Skai was up for Outstanding Performance by a Youth (Series, Special, Television Movie or Mini-Series), but lost out to Marcus in the category.

Marsai picked up the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Jussie won Outstanding New Recording Artist and The Wiz Live nabbed the Outstanding Television Movie, Mini-Series, or Dramatic Special honor.
