The highly anticipated musical & Juliet is officially coming to Broadway this fall and the dates have finally been announced!

The musical is currently playing a pre-Broadway engagement in Toronto and the full cast will be transferring to the New York production later this year. The show is also running in London, where it has been a smash success.

And Juliet features an original book by Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read and music from legendary songwriter and producer Max Martin. The musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, all written by Martin and his collaborators, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.

So many great Broadway stars came together in New York City this week to film a performance to give people hope for the return of live theater!

Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells were among the stars who participated in NYCNext’s A Moment for Broadway event on Wednesday (October 7) in NYC’s Times Square.

Also in attendance were Gavin Creel, Telly Leung, Carolee Carmello, Norm Lewis, Javier Munoz, Joel Grey, Eden Espinosa, Sierra Boggess, Kate Baldwin, Stark Sands, Jennifer Damiano, Ari’el Stachel, Andrea Burns, among others.

Some unfortunate news was just revealed about Broadway.

NBC New York is reporting that the Broadway League is going to announce on Friday that Broadway will not return until May 30, 2021, at the earliest.

Broadway shows have been shut down since March 13, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The shutdown was supposed to end in January 2021, but now will be extended as the pandemic is still not under control and it’s not safe for thousands of people to sit in an indoor theater together.

The productions that come back to Broadway will return across a series of rolling dates.

John Gallagher Jr. and Stark Sands are set to star in the world premiere musical Swept Away, which features the music of The Avett Brothers.

Drawing from The Avett Brothers’ vast body of work, Swept Away tells the story of a violent storm that sinks a whaling ship, and the four surviving souls — a young man in search of adventure, his older brother who has sworn to protect him, a captain at the end of a long career at sea, and a worldly first mate who has fallen from grace — who each face a reckoning: How far will I go to stay alive? And can I live with the consequences?

The new musical features a book written by John Logan, the screenwriter of Skyfall and Gladiator. Tony Award winner Michael Mayer is directing the musical and he previously worked with John and Stark on American Idiot.

The musical will have its world premiere at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in the San Francisco area with performances beginning on June 14, 2020.

Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep join director Steven Spielberg on the red carpet at the premiere of their movie The Post on Thursday (December 14) at Newseum in Washington, D.C.

The star-studded event was also attended by co-stars Sarah Paulson, Alison Brie, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Bob Odenkirk, Matthew Rhys, Stark Sands, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Bradley Whitford.

Showing their support at the event were Tom‘s wife Rita Wilson, Steven‘s wife Kate Capshaw, and David‘s wife Amber Tamblyn.

The Post will hit theaters in limited release on December 22 and everywhere on January 22.

John Stamos appears on stage for the Grandfathered panel discussion during the Fox portion of the 2015 Summer TCA Tour on Thursday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 51-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Josh Peck, Christina Milian, Paget Brewster, and more for the panel.

Other Fox stars promoting shows at the event included Minority Report‘s Wilmer Valderrama, Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Nick Zano, and Laura Regan, The Grinder‘s Rob Lowe and Fred Savage, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Andy Samberg.

During the panel, John was asked to confirm if he actually tried to get the Olsen Twins fired from Full House, as depicted in the trailer for the upcoming unauthorized Lifetime movie.

“It is sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot,” John said. “It was very difficult to get the shot. So that is actually 100 percent accurate.”

“They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids,” he added. “We tried that for a while and that didn’t work. We were like, all right, get the Olsen twins back. And that’s the story!”

January Jones and Ashley Madekwe hit the carpet while attending the 20th Century Fox party held during 2015 Comic-Con on Friday (July 10) at the Andaz Hotel in San Diego, Calif.

The ladies were joined at the event by January‘s Last Man on Earth co-star Will Forte and Ashley‘s Salem co-stars Iddo Goldberg (who is also her husband), Janet Montgomery, and Elise Eberle.

Oscar Isaac hits the red carpet at the premiere of his new movie Inside Llewyn Davis held at the closing night gala of the 2013 AFI Fest on Thursday (November 14) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The 33-year-old actor was joined at the premiere by his co-star Stark Sands, who held hands with his wife Gemma Clarke on the carpet.

Inside Llewyn Davis, which was written and directed by Joel & Ethan Coen, follows a week in the life of a young singer (Isaac) as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961.
