“It’s not just me, but many female celebrities, especially girl group members, are having a hard time. There’s a lot of things that are almost untrue. There’s a lot of cases when people who hate us write novel-like comments. And then there comes a moment when it’s hard to hold out. It’s not that I’m angry at seeing it…we usually put up with it after reading [comments.] If I’m angry, I’ll put up with it, anyway,” she explained.

“We just keep putting up with it…and when sometimes the members put up with it and burst, that will be the moment when the fans will be saddened. If I see someone I like having a hard time with such bad comments, I would be so sad, too. There are probably no fans who don’t read the comments, right?”

She also talked about looking after the girls of TWICE.

“I always monitor TWICE when they come out. I was personally moved to watch the music video for “Feel Special.” The song was so good, but these girls in the music video…they were already so mature.I got goosebumps in that part, Jihyo came out alone: ‘No matter how hard the world takes me down.’ I’m suddenly moved again.”

Jihyo recently opened up about rejecting this.
