Jordan Alexander and Whitney Peak share a giggly laugh at the premiere of Gossip Girl held at Spring Studios on Wednesday night (June 30) in New York City.

The two actresses met up with their co-stars Savannah Smith, Emily Alyn Lind, and Tavi Gevinson on the pink carpet for some stunning pics together.

The quintet of stars were also joined by Laura Benanti, Donna Murphy, and Zion Moreno at the premiere of the Warner Bros. Television series.

Here’s everything the ladies were wearing: Jordan wore a Wiederhoeft look with a Tyler Ellis bag, Tiffany & Co. jewelry and Roger Vivier shoes. Whitney wore a Chanel ensemble. It’s the first look at the Gossip Girl reboot!

HBO Max unveiled the first teaser trailer, as well as character posters, for the forthcoming series on Friday (May 28), which is debuting on July 8 on the streamer.

The show was developed by showrunner Joshua Safran, a writer and executive producer on the original series.

Here’s a plot summary: “This extension of the pop culture classic takes us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark. The series is based on the bestselling novels by Cecily von Ziegesar and the original show, developed by Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, which ran from 2007-2012 on The CW. Gossip Girl explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.”

The series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith.

Tavi Gevinson is calling out Karlie Kloss for her politics on Instagram.

On Wednesday (January 6), Karlie tweeted that the riots at the U.S. Capitol and ensuing violence were “anti-American.” Commenters were quick to point out her connection to in-laws Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, suggesting she speak to them about the situation. Karlie responded, “I’ve tried.”

Tavi posted a screen shot of Karlie‘s tweet to her Instagram stories, with the caption, “What Karlie means to say is: ‘I have no real interest in using my political power so much as maintaining a watery ‘feminist’ liberal brand while protecting my ties to the Trumps and Kushners.” She added that Karlie has “chosen to help legitimize their bigotry by branding us as simply have different ‘political views.’”

The Gossip Girl star posted an update Friday (January 8), where she shared a screen shot of a comment she had left on one of Karlie‘s Instagram posts with the caption, “Karlie Kloss restricted me”, along with a gravestone emoji.

Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, and Whitney Peak are seen wearing their school uniforms while filming a scene for the upcoming Gossip Girl series on Monday afternoon (November 23) in New York City.

The stars were seen alongside other actors from the new HBO Max series, including Thomas Doherty, Zion Moreno, Savannah Smith, Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, and Tavi Gevinson.

The original series followed the lives of students at elite private high schools in New York City’s Upper East Side – the Constance Billard School for Girls and the St. Jude’s School for Boys. The photos from set confirm that the students will be attending the same schools in the upcoming extension series.

The cast of Gossip Girl were seen filming almost all together on Tuesday (November 10) in New York City.

Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Eli Brown, Evan Mock, Jordan Alexander, Savannah Smith, Emily Alyn Lind and Zion Moreno all took to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for their scenes.

The week before, Eli and Whitney Peak were spotted filming scenes at night in the city.

The upcoming Gossip Girl reboot, which just started filming last week, recently added another new cast member in a Broadway star!

Gossip Girl will take place eight years after the original show, with a new generation of New York private school teens introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl (voiced by Kristen Bell).

Showrunner Joshua Safran recently teased that the show is going to be “very, very queer” and that the main difference between the original series and the reboot is that the “majority” of the characters will be “diverse and/or queer.”

Tavi Gevinson has some harsh words for Karlie Kloss.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old model/businesswoman shared a quote from activist Cleo Wade, and the 24-year-old writer/actress didn’t take kindly to it.

“Thank you @cleowade for the reminder to live by these principles, we needed this today ❤️,” Karlie captioned along with her post.

Tavi then took to the comments to call out Karlie and to slam her for taking a harder stance against her in-laws Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. Karlie is married to Jared‘s brother Joshua Kushner.

“Karlie, give it a rest. You have a lot of nerve to make a show of championing girls’ coding and your family in public (lame @ you ignoring ivanka on social media; she still went to your wedding),” Tavi wrote. “I can’t believe you’re not more embarrassed not just by them but YOUR decision to only publicly disown their politics in polite ways so you can have it both ways. I don’t know what kind of conversations you have behind the scenes (besides when Jared asked your dad to solicit solutions to a global pandemic in a Facebook group back in March) but like…….what am I looking at. This is a f–king joke.”
