Thomas Markle, who is estranged from Duchess Meghan Markle, has spoken to the press and released a statement about the birth of the royal baby boy.

“I’m delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well,” Thomas told The Sun. “I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour.”

Thomas added, “GOD bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and GOD save the Queen.”

Thomas has been involved in near-constant controversy after it was discovered he had staged paparazzi photos ahead of Duchess Meghan‘s wedding to Prince Harry. Most recently, he published a handwritten letter the Duchess sent him after he skipped the wedding.

Duchess Meghan Markle‘s close friends claimed she wrote her dad, Thomas Markle, a personal letter after he skipped her royal wedding to Prince Harry, and her dad is now confirming everything.

Thomas had the five page note published and we have the text.

“Daddy, it is with a heavy heart that I write this, not understanding why you have chosen to take this path, turning a blind eye to the pain you are causing,” the 37-year-old Duchess wrote to her dad in the note published by the Daily Mail. “Your actions have broken my heart into a million pieces — not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain, but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this. Something I will never understand.”

“If you love me, as you tell the press you do, please stop. Please allow us to live our lives in peace. Please stop lying, please stop creating so much pain, please stop exploiting my relationship with my husband,” Meghan continued. “I realize you are so far down this rabbit hole that you feel (or may feel) there’s no way out, but if you take a moment to pause I think you’ll see that being able to live with a clear conscience is more valuable than any payment in the world.”

“You’ve told the press that you called me to say you weren’t coming to the wedding — that didn’t happen because you never called,” she continued. “I have only ever loved, protected, and defended you, offering whatever financial support I could, worrying about your health. So the week of the wedding to hear about you having a heart attack through a tabloid was horrifying. I called and texted…I begged you to accept help — we sent someone to your home…and instead of speaking to me to accept this or any help, you stopped answering your phone and chose to only speak to tabloids.”

If you don’t know, Duchess Meghan‘s close friends recently called out Thomas for his behavior, from Thomas staging a fake photo shoot for the media, to him having a heart attack and missing the royal wedding.

Thomas Markle has done countless media interviews where he claims he has been ghosted by his daughter, Duchess Meghan Markle, and her husband Prince Harry.

Now, one of the Duchess‘ close friends is allegedly setting the record straight about every single thing that happened, from Thomas staging a fake photo shoot for the media, to him having a heart attack and missing the royal wedding.

“He knows how to get in touch with her. Her telephone number hasn’t changed. He’s never called; he’s never texted. It’s super painful, because Meg was always so dutiful. I think she will always feel genuinely devastated by what he’s done. And at the same time, because she’s a daughter, she has a lot of sympathy for him,” Meghan‘s friend told People.

After the photo controversy went down, the friend said, “Meg and Harry were still so focused on getting [Tom] to London. At no point was there talk of ‘Now that we know he lied, he’s in trouble.’ Tom wouldn’t take her calls, wouldn’t take Harry’s calls.”

Then, “The next morning when the car got there [to take him to the airport], he wouldn’t get in. [Later] Meg heard he had a heart attack and she’s calling and texting, even up to the night before the wedding. It was like, ‘Please pick up. I love you, and I’m scared.’ It was endless.”

Meghan then wrote her dad a letter after her wedding.

“After the wedding she wrote him a letter. She’s like, ‘Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimizing me through the media so we can repair our relationship.’ Because every time her team has to come to her and fact-check something [he has said], it’s an arrow to the heart. He writes her a really long letter in return, and he closes it by requesting a photo op with her. And she feels like, ‘That’s the opposite of what I’m saying. I’m telling you I don’t want to communicate through the media, and you’re asking me to communicate through the media. Did you hear anything I said?’ It’s almost like they’re ships passing,” Meghan‘s friend said.

Thomas Markle, the half-brother of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (AKA Meghan Markle), has been arrested on Friday (January 11), according to TMZ.

The 52-year-old relative of the royal was arrested for driving under the influence by Oregon State Police at 1:33 AM, and then taken into custody.

He was given a field sobriety test and blew “well over the legal limit” in a breath test. He was then taken to the Grants Pass Sobering Center, and his car was impounded.

Thomas is the son of Thomas Sr. Markle, and is estranged from Meghan.

Meghan Markle‘s dad, Thomas Markle, who has been estranged from his daughter and has often spoken to the press about being cut off from contact by the Palace, is speaking out about the rumors of a feud with Kate Middleton.

“If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate they should put their differences aside. I’m very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting,” Thomas, 74, told The Sun. “I don’t think she deserves it and I don’t think she is doing one third of the things she is being accused of doing.”

“I’m not buying that she made Kate cry. First off, I think Kate is a stronger woman than that. I think Kate also knows she is in a stronger power position than Meghan is. Kate’s the hero mother. I can’t see her being that weak. No woman is who pops out a kid then walks out of hospital the same day. I don’t think she’s afraid of anyone. And I don’t believe that Meghan is trying to hurt her in any shape or form. But at the moment I cannot call Meghan and say ‘What is going on? How can I help you?’” Thomas continued.

“I need to know what the hell is happening and why it is happening. I need to know why she is being bashed every day,” he added. “I’ve been a good father I’ve done nothing wrong. Axe murderers kill 19 people and their daughters still come and visit them in prison.

“It’s just incomprehensible for Meghan to treat me this way,” Thomas said.

Thomas Markle has given a TV interview about his daughter, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, for the first time since she announced her pregnancy to the world.

About his staged paparazzi photos, Thomas told ITV’s Good Morning Britain, “For that incident I’ve apologized 100 times – I don’t feel that’s worthy of being shunned or ghosted, that’s ridiculous.”

“She’s always been a very controlling person and that’s part of her nature but she’s never been rude,” Thomas continued about his daughter. “The ghosting I don’t completely understand. She’s always been in charge, that’s her nature. But she’s always been polite.”

“I’ve been trying to reach out for several weeks – every day I try to text her, I just haven’t received any comment back,” Thomas added. “I just keep asking her to respond back to me and I haven’t got any response back. I’ve sent letters as well.”

Thomas also had a message for the Duchess, saying, “I love you very much, you’re my daughter and I would really like to hear from you. Whatever differences we have, we should be able to work them out.”

If you don’t know, Thomas has spoken to the press numerous times over the past several months and has not had a relationship with his daughter since her wedding.
