Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, & More Are T's 'The Greats'!

Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, and many more are featured on separate covers for T Magazine‘s “The Greats” issue, out October 23.

Photographer William Eggleston, painter Kerry James Marshall, novelist Zadie Smith, chef Massimo Bottura, and fashion designer Junya Watanabe are also featured on separate covers.

“It’s an endless proving of myself, that I really am a musician, that I have something to offer in the room. That women can be musicians, women can be rock stars, women can be more than an objectified idea of a pop star…I get blocked by my own trauma sometimes,” she said. “The darkness, the loop of negative thoughts on repeat, clamors and interferes with the music I hear in my head. When I’m making music, I can hear all the parts, all the instruments. I can hear what it should be,” Lady Gaga said in the mag.

Meryl Streep Joins Michelle Obama in Fight for Women's Equality (Video)

Meryl Streep flashes a smile as she arrives via Amtrak and gets ready to attend a White House fundraiser on Tuesday (October 11) in Washington, D.C.

The 67-year-old Florence Foster Jenkins actress recently appeared in a CNN documentary called We Will Rise to discuss her work with First Lady Michelle Obama‘s Let Girls Learn initiative.

The two traveled over the summer to spread awareness about women’s rights and equality.

“What brings me here is this issue of equality for women and girls,” Meryl said in a clip from the documentary while she visited Morocco with Michelle and her daughters Sasha and Malia Obama. “What brings me here is my grandmother. She had three children before 1920 so she couldn’t vote.”

“She would have to go to the golf course and find my grandfather on the ninth hole and hand him a piece of paper on the day of the school board election with the names written out,” Meryl went on. “And he didn’t care anything about that, but she wasn’t deemed capable of making that decision under law. It’s an issue shared across cultures.”

“I’m interested in these girls and their aspirations and how things have changed for their mothers, their grandmothers, how they will change for the daughters of these girls,” she added.

Michelle Obama Slams Donald Trump & His Sexual Assault Allegations in Powerful Speech (Video)

Michelle Obama just gave a very powerful speech where she slammed Donald Trump for his offensive comments and sexual assault allegations towards women.

“Last week we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexually assaulting women. I can’t believe I’m saying that a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women. I have to tell you that I — I can’t stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted,” FLOTUS said, adding his words have “shaken me to my core.”

“It’s not something we can just sweep under the rug as just another disturbing footnote in a sad election season, because this was not just a lewd conversation,” she continued. “Now is time for us to stand up and say, enough is enough. What do you think this is doing to our children?”
